Down, but not out indeed! Thanks for featuring me in your video Cedrik, I really look forward to join the best triathlon team in the world on the training camp in Sierra Nevada in march/april. Hopefully we will create a lot of quality content together down there! GG
Pretty good reminder to all of us to really take care to not get infected. Not only the symptoms, but especially the weeks and months afterwards are straight hell! Get soon fit again! 💪🏼
I feel you -- took me ~3 weeks to feel normal in training again. Then had to take a few easy weeks to get back up to normal volume. ~1.5 months to get back. You got this. It'll get better.
Great video Cedric. I hope you're doing better everyday. I very much look forward to an update. I know other triathletes that have endured a prolonged recovery from covid. Wishing you well!
Really heartbreaking to see what are you dealing with. All my wishes are with you and I hope that you recover your old self as fast as possible! #SoonGG
It's good to see you are still keeping a positive attitude even with the struggles... Keep working through it and you will come back stronger than ever. I wish you the best in your recovery!
covid...bg 👎 just getting over it myself, has taken about 3 weeks. unfortunately there's really not much you can do but be patient and let your body recover. really sucks but appreciate the video, everyone will or has gone through it. give yourself the time, it'll come back quick when you're better even though that seems so far away.
Completly understand you as for me triathlon is also a lifestyle. Remember that after every down there is an up. Be patient and dont stress about things which you cannot control
This sounds absolutely horrible. Can’t imagine how difficult it is for you, stay strong and you’ll be able to make your way back! Once you are healthy again your shape will get to your previous level quickly and then you’ll progress form there again 💪 Thanks very much for sharing all of this and being so honest about it! I have to admit I have a lot of questions. I am wondering about what has caused your high lactate levels to begin with. You said you had bad training two weeks prior to being positive and it involved having unusual high lactate levels. Do you think you had a COVID infection already then (would be a very long incubation time) or did that just come on top at some point as your body was fighting something else. The high lactate suggests that something is going on in on the muscular level. What’s confusing me is that if it’s an oxygen delivery problem (due to an impaired lung function), why is your heart rate not responding accordingly and just „letting“ the muscle work glycolytic instead. It somehow even seems like the regulatory mechanism are overwritten too. I am no medical expert at all so I would be really curious to know where the reasons lay for all of this. Please continue sharing your stories, I think this is very helpful for others. I wish you all the best ✊
Thanks!🙏🏻 To be honest, we don’t know at the moment..but the body slowly begins to work and hopefully I’m back in good training in a few weeks💃🏻 I’ll let you know when your questions is solved!
Cedrik Bakke Christophersen Bummed for you, but your positive mindset and your solid support network will have you back banging out watts in due time. Recent research is revealing that the virus can play games with the Mitochondria, but your defences will prevail. 👊🏼
I guess you validated with another lactate device to be sure it's elevated? All the best, keep calm, so many years in front of you, won't even remember that soon ;)
god bedring og takk for at du deler din opplevelse! du er ikke alene na med covid. Jeg er pa andere (og hoperlighvis siste) gang med smitte og kan bare haper a kommer tilbake fra det...
Read good sci-fi (The Three Body Problem) and forget about what you can't control. You'll get back to where you were soon enough and Gigi like never before!
@@cedrikbakkechristophersen It's only a matter of time I'm sure better times will come! Congrats on the channel it's my favourite right now, I could watch it all day!
