Shamsi you did a good sincere and emotionally intelligent job here. I can see the guy is dealing w stuff and he is trying to numb everything till he can get over the lurch but you showed him important pieces in a respectful but honest way. I think this was excellent and I truly believe inshallah this brother will return to Islam whether he tells you or not this was too clear cutting through some confusion and fog and he was wanting and needing exactly that
