I’d recommend doin a run or two where you just try and catch everything to run your starter IV’s up. This game taught me that almost every Pokémon can be useful if ya got a good one and know the type weaknesses

Wildcat and marksman have been playing cod together so long they’ve started to look like each other
I’ve grinded this game for a few weeks and I have almost all Pokemon caught, a BUNCH of epic-tier shinies from the last event including a purple Celebi, and most achievements met. PokeRogue is mostly meant for players that have a 75% understanding of the mechanics and matchups.

If you are being serious about playing this game, it don't matter how many times you wipe. Catch as many pokemon as you can so you can upgrade and get eggs and you will be good

The beginning is always going to be the hardest for new players, once you start hatching eggs you can gain moves that are super op. I don't want to spoil too much of the game if you do plan on playing it more often but try to focus on the egg gacha and focus on the shiny one! It'll help and come in handy! : )

I just played for like an hour or two and its my first run im shredding nerds I recomend swampert the fire dude that narksman used in his video and superior, Im currently around level 50 with all pokemon, At about stage 63 or something I have flamigo swampert the fire dude forgot his name superior cerulege and gloom, good combo surprisingly insane actually, I dont often lose any pokemon ive come close to loosing but im loving it! Ill deffinitley watch more of this series!!!

A few tips: Focus on 1 or 2 Pokémon for the first 30 waves, exp is too sparse to support more. Aim for at the very least 3 exp shares as having only the 2 given for beating your rival can feel anemic. Gym leaders come every 30 waves after the first one and every rival fight occurs on the same wave each run so consider taking X Items a few waves before each one to give you an edge. Trainers love to switch to either get a type advantage or preserve a Pokémon that’s low even if they can reasonably get a kill, especially after wave 50, so having a Pokémon with Stealth Rock or either of the Spikes will whittle down or straight up kill whatever is coming in

I have 22 days played on this game according to my stats sheet, I haven't played or bought a single game in like 4 months, this game is continuously updating the team that makes it is absolutely amazing and holy fuck I'm sooo ready for everything else they plan for for the future as they showed on their roadmap

the xp balance is dogshit because it keeps the mons close but the primary attackers are under leveled. easiest way to get past the beginning stages is focus a lot on one “sweeper” until rest of party is high enough with good moves

Early game you want to focus on one pokemon cause the experience is way too little to level all of them the same in the early. Also use rare candie often early they are more valuable early cause later you can get items like exp charms exp shares and lucky eggs that gives you more exp and you can max all your pokemon each route if you have enough
