  • Join us for a day trip to Sweden, with our friend Andrea. We started with the Forsea ferry from Helsingør, Denmark, just an hour's drive from Copenhagen. On the ferry, we enjoyed views of Kronborg Castle as we crossed the Øresund Strait. Twenty minutes later, we arrived in Helsingborg, Sweden.
An hour's drive north brought us to Bjärekusten Nature Reserve, a stunning coastal area with dramatic cliffs, diverse flora and fauna, and breathtaking views of the Kattegat Sea. Managed by local conservation authorities, the reserve features rocky shores, sandy beaches, and hiking trails that showcase its unique landscape. The resident cows play a crucial role in maintaining the open meadows and biodiversity.
On our return journey, we drove across the Øresund Bridge, a 16-kilometer-long connection between Sweden and Denmark, which includes a 4-kilometer tunnel section and an artificial island named Peberholm.
