How To Clean Your Truck: The Most Effective Truck Wash Process for DIRTY TRUCKS! Full Wash Video

  • Today we're bringing you the full wash video of a hardworking truck using only products we sell on our online store: www.washproduct.com
    Two-step washes are all the rage, but they don't quite get your truck 100% clean. If you care about trucks like we do, sometimes it's best to get out the ol' bucket and swing the brush around a bit.
    Here you'll see us using our full Prep/Wash/Protect process.
    PREP:
    - Using degreaser to hit some of the more built up grime and loosen it before we pre-rinse.
    - Soaking the areas hit hard by bugs to break down those bug proteins before we start scrubbing. This makes the bugs essentially melt off. It's all about using the right chemicals for the job at the right time.
    - Pre-rinse the loose dirt and grime so you're not scrubbing dirt into your surface later.
    WASH:
    - We use our Platinum Wash, which is a detailer grade soap. Neutral pH that's gentle on painted surfaces but tough on grime. We just pour it undiluted into a foam cannon and lay it on as thick as we need. The foam gives the soap a longer cling time to the surface, giving it more time to work. (Also gives you longer working time in the sun to prevent soap from drying on your surface.)
    - We use a series of poles, brushes, and wash mitts to get each area spotless with minimal effort.
    PROTECT:
    - After all surfaces have been cleaned thoroughly, we then foam on our Wax Replacement. Just foam it on, let sit for 30-60 seconds, and rinse off. EASY! Hands down the easiest wax job you'll ever do.
    - To avoid water spots, always dry your vehicle afterwards. We use a backpack leaf blower to dry large rigs and RVs with EASE! You could also use a drying towel, squeegee, or sham.

    • @ImageWashProducts
      @ImageWashProducts  2 года назад

      If the paint is actually stained through the clear coat, you'll likely have to have it buffed out. If it's a surface level stain (as in the contaminants are sitting on top of the clear coat), you can try rubbing it down with mineral oil.

      We wash trucks for free in exchange for the opportunity to film the process for our RUclips and social media videos. As far as how much you should charge, I'd recommend checking out what other fleet washers charge in your area. It tends to vary around the country depending on how saturated the mobile wash market is.

    How durable is the"wax" application against the elements? For example, the Sun.

    • @ImageWashProducts
      @ImageWashProducts  2 года назад

      Our Wax Replacement can hold up for 30+ days, even in the sun. Winter time driving is a little different due to the abrasive salt being kicked up against your paint which will chip away at any wax protection you have on there. Hope this helps, email us at help@washproduct.com if you have any other questions!

    Just ordered the touchless 2 step. Will it work on a fleet that gets washed once a month?

    • @ImageWashProducts
      @ImageWashProducts  2 года назад +2

      That's very hard to say without knowing every detail, but if it's not working for you, try bumping up the strength.
      When it's been that long, you have to factor in things like:
      Does it have a protective coating on it? Is the pressure washer decent or is it a weak electric unit? Are you using the recommended 40 degree rinse tip? Are you making sure to pressure wash excess dirt and grime before you're starting? Are you using prep chemicals correctly before you 2step (stuff like degreaser on wheel wells, bug remover for bugs, tar remover on tar, etc)? are you overlapping all your rinse patterns?
      Bottom line is, it can definitely work on trucks that haven't been washed in a month. But it all comes down to how detailed you're being and making sure to follow all the recommended steps.

    • @ImageWashProducts

      Hey Glen! We always recommend washing with cold water. The only time we'll use hot water is if we're doing some heavy degreasing, at which point we only use the hot water for the rinse step.
      Applying chemicals at temps over 140 degrees can degrade the effectiveness of certain ingredients. Hope this helps! Cheers.

      Acid is great if you don't have any polished aluminum! If you use acid on polished aluminum it streaks/whiten/brightens it! We work with a lot of people who have polished equipment and want to keep it nice. Also these soaps smell a lot better than acid :) We do have Acids available as well for those who would rather go that route.
