Wow, this really did it for me!! Suddenly after maybe two days after doing this exercise the "X" in my back activated! And then i could WAAAALK!!!!❤❤🎉🎉🎉 This was the missing exercise i guess! I am so happy! Ive been limping in pain. I never thought the solution would be in by back. I have trained my glutes and core, feet and calves and thighs. But now - I feel like I have an exoskeleton that keeps me in balance so that my hips and thighs and everything can relax. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Awesome, you're very welcome! Delighted to hear you are back walking comfortably. Enjoy your new found freedom and feel free to share these videos with family and friends. Thanks for watching.
No wonder my right shoulder and neck have been so stiff and sore after having my left hip replacement. It must be trying to adjust to the new alignment. Thanks!

I'm with you here - my right hip doesn't understand pressing down. Thanks always, Colm, for these explorations! It's amazing how the brain has cemented patterns but undoing the patterns and making new ones is such a struggle - great work!

Glad you are finding them helpful Barb. It’s all about your trunk really. When practicing pay close attention to your trunk. Can you feel it moving, contracting and relaxing. Keep me updated on progress.
Thanks so much! A great simple routine to use before heading out on a run or walk. The cues are so helpful and I'm excited to try this an add it to my practice:)

Whoops! Yep looks like I missed the end of that video 😬 Good spot 😆 I may well have made a mistake with my cues. Sooo difficult to get them right AND do the movements. I have tonnes of bloopers. Glad you found it helpful despite the mistakes.
how does this differ from walking two? i will do the walking series , too. something in this is very important to me , my left hip has had a problem since 1981 and now my left shoulder front, underthe arm and in theback its being very difficult in my daily movements. i meant to write this in the stuck inthe mudd with walking 2 not this one, ilove this one, too, though.
Hi Colm, have you seen or experienced whether the movements seem to help more or after we exert for me i am moving the lawn and was wondering which to do when if itmatters ?
@@LearnSomatics i know both can be helpful, but, i ask because , it was spoken stretching before can help , but, theres many different thoughts, beliefs, what has been your experience?
I don’t see any benefit to static stretching, ie; just holding a stretched position. Stick to pandiculating. As to whether to do it before or after it depends. Try both and see what gives you the best result.
@@LearnSomatics i am greatly aware of static stretching. i even wonder if hanging as in a dead hang is like stretching, pull ups feel like less strain , sometimes, but,i dont know if there good for me?

It felt like the transition from side to side was more rhythmic (not sure that's the right word) when I walked around after. 😊 Would you consider this a good daily practice to help with overall imbalance between left and right? My back pain is basically resolved (no small thanks to you) but now my feet/knees hurt after walking. Thank you as always for your work!
