I found your channel a while back because I was researching pets I could house in an enclosure set up and not go the cat or dog root cause of work schedule. I think a lot of people have busy lives but would love a pet that they could decorate their home and watch for fun and create a micro world . You and Wicken and Clint do a great service informing people about different animals as pets and I’m glad you can give a voice to the tarantula/spider community. It helped inspire me and I really think y’all are doing a great thing lining up people with the right pet that fits them and helps give them a good life and not have people take some animal home and have it die unnecessarily like the 90’s when information wasn’t as accessible.
Richard, I'd say you have successfully gotten me into the hobby. "Clint's Reptiles" did initially spark the idea a few months back, but it was your videos that thoroughly made up my mind. Great presentations, and quality information. It keeps me coming back for more.
You guys flow so well together, I love what both of you do, you both put out great content, high quality recordings and are great guys. I've listened to this twice already and no doubt will be back again - Kudos to you Richard and Adam x
Currently watching and really enjoying this chat - love both of your channels 😊 As a fellow creator, I appreciate your thoughts on the exotic pet creator niche on RUclips!
Hi Richard, I often hear you guys n gals talk about your "tarantula collection" and how this or that T is can be a jewel in mine. Well I have no idea how THAT's ever going to happen. The arachnophobe in my life, aka Trudy or "The Wife", has made a concession to own ONE, one single Tarantula. Provided I take care of it in any and all ways it needs to be cared for. Feeding, rehousing, watering. etc. will be my responsibility alone, and what ever god that may exist will have to have mercy on my black soul should the T EVER get out of the enclosure. She will kill me, slowly in the most painful manner she can devise. There will be no collection. Unless ONE can be a collection of spiders.
I feel you, my friend. But I also suspect within 6 months to a year of having your tarantula, you will be leaving a comment about how your wife fell in love with them too, and now you have a dozen different species....lol.
Hey here, I love the channel it’s really gotten me into wanting to keep invertebrates, but I had a quick question about bioactive set ups. Are you able to use the same type of set up that you would for a tarantula for Florida bark scorpions I want to start with one, but eventually want to have a communal and set it up in a bioactive way. I was just curious if the concepts are the same same if you can comment back with an answer that would be really awesome. Keep doing everything you do.
