I don't understand the lyrics, I'm from Spain, but I understand the soul of the song, of your songs, and I appreciate having the internet and being able to get a little closer to your world, so far from mine but always so human. THANK YOU! Muchas gracias!
I wish the song would never end and "one more times" would repeat itself forever.
    Hasta la vista amigos!

A song written by Ewan MacColl about the men who sailed out of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, fishing for herring in the North Sea. Inspired by his meeting with the crews to talk to them about their working lives. (BBC Radio Ballads)

I love your work. Brillant. Great Rendition of a beautiful Song. Greetings. I‘m from Germany and I admire Ireland and Irish Folk. I sing myself. They say I do so quite well. However, Keep it up Boys. Hope you make it through the pandemic

Actually, most of these musicians are Scandi, and the song is written by an English man of Scottish roots, but yes, the performance and sound has an Irish delivery . . .

tobias oellers..irish music only started in the late 50s early 60s with the clancies when the adopted the scottish style. then the dubliners came along in 62 and did the same. then the furies in the 70s did the same....many many irish songs are scottish or english adopted at that time. you might want to research irish fiddle reel music also scottish in origin. 100s of irish fiddle tunes are actually scottish.

Written by Ewan MacColl from Salford/Manchester, England. He also wrote Dirty Old Town (about Salford) and First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. A brilliant brilliant songwriter. Not Irish though
