- Is this electric extractor pump useful? It's not as powerful as I'd like, but it is less than $20.

You should have the waste oil bottle on the ground.
The bottom tip of the outlet hose should be lower than the bottom tip of the inlet hose. Then you will have the benefit of siphon in addition to the electric pump.
As you mentioned.. the oil needs to be warm.
Thanks for mentioning that the oil was cold. Good detail on walking us through what was happening. I found this video very helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I believe that’s you should give it another try by warming the car for 10 minutes before pulling the oil. This machine took me 3 minutes to pull 4 litres.
Thanks
ive literally just done mine and i was shocked at how fast it did it
After over an hour the same pump for me has just got a dribble in the tube, i even warmed the oil and it didn't help, printing return label now
Thank you!
You bet!
Clearly says to warm up the engine first
Warm the engine for all of them.
This thing consumes 5 A per hour, so shouldn't run your 60Ah battery empty unless you run it for several hours.
Oil should be 40-50 Celsius. Use a thermometer on the outside of the oil pan.
Manual is better , keep up the alfa 4C content
Damn I was expecting this pump to be faster
It only has a 60w motor, so it's not bad for what it is. There's larger ones out there, but they of course cost a lot more.
NO, You get what you pay for.
Did you warm the engine that oil looked congealed
WHAT PERCENTAGE OF OIL WAS REMOVED WITH PUMP????
armand mora I would say 97 percent. most of the oil.
@@mbaj309 yep! Pumping it into an old container lets you easily see how much is coming out.
I bought one of these pumps, transferred 36 / gal diesel fuel To remove tank, Took 1 Hour, Breaking every 15 minuets & the pump worked for that project. BUT Next time I wanted to use it to pump Diesel into a garden tractor, ? 18" lift, it pumped about 1 gal, slowed down, got very hot. Sent it back. Very Poor Power & takes for ever to Pump Any Fluids, NO WATER, GASOLINE, CHEMICALS ETC AGAIN, GOING CHEAP DOES NOT PAY, I COULD HAND PUMPED ANYTHING FASTER OR DRAINED THE FORD DIESEL & FILTER IN 10 MINUETS. WASTE OF MONEY, IF YOU NEED A PUMP TO TRANSFER OILS BUY OR BUILD A GOOD ONE WITH POWER & SUCTION > + Consider lf you plan to pump oil in the winter, !!!! they can"t so it.
U need hot oil
it doesnt go down dipstick tube all the way on a GM 5.3....any suggestions anybody
Ford F250 either.
thanks for heads up!!
Poor pump 👎
Obnoxious head-splitting voice over with stupid hand gestures, is it quite necessary? didn’t bother to watch to the end, watched better videos.
bye bye
