Been playing bass since 7th grade band class,,, never much cared for banjo. Till I found this man pickin it. I still can't figure why clifton's pickin draws me in so much. I started with ballad of kyle ritenhouse and the depth of meaning and sincere expression floored me. He just seemed so real and authentic and honest. Maybe it's the solo nature of his performances that has made me fall in love with the sound of his banjo's. Maybe it's the backwoods blood of my ancestors like popcorn calling to my DNA. At any rate I really enjoy all your songs Clifton , and I mean a lot ! Sometimes I listen to some of your songs over and over until my thirst is quenched. /-). The sound of your voice and banjo's soothe some part of my soul, and give me a peace of some sorts. Well , suppose I've gushed enough old buddy, God bless you and yours , thank you for making the banjo enjoyable.
Hearing that unique familiar sweet sound of your banjo barking out those notes 🎶 sure makes an otherwise shitty day feel way more bearable.... thanks 👍👍
You continue to improve and deliver as a great teacher. Thanks a bunch. Been a member of your patreon site 4 a bit now, and its well worth the small pittance charged.
wow, you put a pain in my heart to mention charlie parker. I knew Charlies son, and grandchildren, and they still live in the town I live in. I don't know if we are speaking of the same charlie parker however. thanks for the tune.
“There’s a bunch a crows across the creek in the cane beside the road. I don’t know what You’ve been told But that’s a sign something seriously heading our way “. Haha. Sounds like a song to me. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Will The Weaver is mentioned in the sing Dixyland, so I always v assumed he was a Minstrel character Old Missus marry “Will the weaver,” Willium was a gay deceiver; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. And when he put his arm around ‘er, He smiled as fierce as a forty-pounder, Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
My wife loves this song so much she threatened to beat me with a stick after listening to me practicing. I tried to explain the reason it's funny is because the wife beats the husband in the end but I don't think she gets it.
