Poole actually shot the campaign that came out in August during the All-star break last year. His photographer posted parts of the shoot way back then. Even though he's play has been up and down Poole is still one of the most popular players in the league.
Also, the previous athlete that was the face of the GT cut is no longer with the brand. D.Fox is an under armour/curry athlete now. I don’t mind Poole as the face of the shoe. I think it isn’t easy to find someone to match the identity of a shoe and also be a marketable athlete. Lots of great players but not everyone is marketable
with his antics and how the fans sees him, its unlikely to happen. That one slot is already Sabrina's. Nike has already proven that Sabrina 1 are a top fave of male players regardless that it was made for female athletes since it feels closer to Kobe's. Also Nike already have too many basketball shoes in the line that makes no sense to have another shoe line, With the trend of protos/retros of Kobe's Lebrons or even PG. If Nike decides to have another signature shoe, it would be Tyrese Haliburton .
Id rather see like Desmond Bane or Jaren Jackson Jr or GG Jackson (if he keeps up with playing at a high caliper level like he has the last few weeks) or even maybe someone like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander maybe...or Haliburton... or even Tyrese Maxey... i would love any one of these players to be the face of the gt cut line. I just dont think jordan Poole has done good enough at all since the warriors won that last ring. He really hasnt deserved to be the face of these amazing sneakers. These sneakers r PREMIUM and he IS NOT a premium player... AT ALL! 💯💯

Thanks for sharing your insights. Much appreciated 🙌🏻
They could have picked a way better player like Jalen Brunson of the Knicks.
Brunson is a very good player but the truth is he's not as popular as Jordan Poole.
