My dad graduated Mississippi State back in the 1960's, and instilled in me a love for this team. I have watched games cheering, crying, and so damn proud I could bust with my old man. He loves this team, and Dak Prescott like no other. He has been batting lung cancer for 4 years now, and he is one tough son-of-a-gun! Dad is still around, but the years have slowed down his body and thoughts. They have not, however slowed the love or pride he has for this team. Mississippi State Football holds a dear place in my heart and it always will. I have been through blood, sweat, and tears with this team. Thank you Dak for putting our school on the map, and thanks to you and the 2014 team he got to see us soar to number one in all the land. He still Talks about it! It was a complete unknown back then I said right behind the Mississippi State bench and was a few feet away from Prescott while he was warming up a little bit. I know he would go on to become the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.
As a football coach and school administrator, I can say this is the kind of person we are looking for today. Thank you God for Dak and thank you to his Mom!!!!
