I know the whole "everyone hates the horror shorts and only wants spongebob" sentiment is just something made up for the ARG, but seriously, these horror shorts are awesome. It lasts just long enough to get across the cool concept and doesn't dwell on unnecessary details
What is ARG?
@@Devon.with.an.i The guy who made this is doing a series surrounding these spongebob conspiracy videos, and part of the story is that all these people (within the story) keep telling him that his horror shorts are terrible and that he should only make spongebob videos.
Also, an ARG is a type of webseries/game hybrid where the players interact with an alternate reality through the internet. So the story unfolds as the community figures out puzzles across several different websites, youtube channels, twitter accounts, etc.

His concepts for these films are way more creative, interesting, and even more thought provoking than the majority of full length films released today. That’s my opinion but everything from the spiral time dilation video to this one where he wakes up to a car accident is fantastic creativity. It’s not just a scary monster or a maniac serial killer, it’s more intricate.

Biggest problem with these horror shorts is they don't have an eye-catching thumbnail so when it appears in someone's sub box or feed they'll often scroll past it. RUclips just doesn't reward aesthetic thumbnails but rather flashy or weird ones with big, bright text, arrows and usually over-the-top faces.
Which is a shame because these are so great. You always catch me off guard with what you actually try to achieve in these.
Wow!! I never thought I would enjoy a short horror film this much! The cinematic look you give in the video is really beautiful and I must say, I’m very impressed with the lighting and way you created the whole atmosphere.
The monster was well designed with a slim, tall, mysterious and simple design. I almost got the chills when I saw it, thinking it was going to be cliche by jumping out or something, but no, the transition with the car was unexpected and very smooth. I must say, this is just astounding and I found the ending hilarious making this video even more enjoyable.
Please please make more!! I’d also love it if you could maybe create a video on how you do these cinematic looks and how you made the monster! I would be impressed if it was photoshop or even a costume with a green screen, because already, I can tell I’m already going to be addicted with these shorts haha! 😂✨

Okay, I’m gonna be honest, I love this. It’s short and to the point, the monster’s design is simple but so incredibly effective, the very IDEA is bonechillingly terrifying, and the execution makes it 100 times better, it’s amazing. Like all memes and series aside, you’re an incredible filmmaker, and I can’t wait to see what else you create.
The monster gives me the same vibe as that woman from Insidious. Just simple, effective, unnerving. Her disturbing presence just stands there making you scared because you have no idea what she will do. Your mind starts racing and you start imagining all the possibilities in which she could hurt you. Afraid to run, afraid to move, can you even take your eyes off of that presence, etc.
I find things like that so much more scary than the classic monster running at you jumpscare, usually accompanied by an ultra-loud sound and a violin snare.
Really love the way Alex thinks about horror.
This was hilarious, I love these comedy/horror shorts like with the Velma animation and the straight up horror stuff. The, "Okay f*ck this." And the, "What the fu-" cut off at the end were so funny, this is such a realistic take on if real people would react to this situation.
i think i figured out why i like your films so much. its the straightforwardness of the horror. theres no dramatic buildup to a jumpscare. its a subtle buildup to a blunt reveal of the horror. its really amazing how you can do that and make the horror element natural.

This was an excellent mix of off putting, relatable, and humor. I literally got a chill when we saw the “voice call demon”. Not only that but the lighting for that sene was amazing.

I've only seen a few of these horror shorts, but if I can be honest, I genuinely enjoy these films. They are extremely chilling, unsettling, and exceptionally edited and filmed. People really need to take a look at your other works other than SpongeBob, I may have started on this xhannels with those theories, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I'll be staying for the horror films. Well done sir, well done. Never let anyone influence what you want to do. If your dream is these short films, than damn the views and damn the statistics and algorithm. Do what feeds your soul, not what feeds others! Those who enjoy, respect, and admire your work will come, with just a bit of patience! Keep it up!

As hilarious as this is, a part of me was hoping nothing supernatural was going to happen and the whole joke was going to be "and the true horror, was spam calls"

I discovered you by a whole miracle called the youtube algorithm. I'm not a native english speaker, and I'm not even into Spongebob as a cartoon anymore, but I like to listen to analysis on series I like to practice my english. I don't even remember which spongebob theory it recommended me, but it was one of the latest, because I immediately became invested in the muse. I bingwatched all your videos, your shorts, all that's available on youtube. Your filmaking, acting and storytelling skills are from out of this planet.
TLDR: Came for the Spongebob Theories as a way to practice English, stayed for the lore and the horror.
I don't know much about films or shooting, but am a huge audio-lover and I haven't seen anyone talk about how good the audio editing is in this!! How we hear what the protagonist hears; when he pulls the phone away from his ear, the sound of the call gets quieter and more distant accordingly as if the phone were up to our own ears. We get used to this pattern, so when he puts the phone down and the volume of the voice stays the same and she keeps talking even after he hangs up? It's just so good dude-- The audio makes me so happy
