- This time we visited Thailand’s highest peak - Doi Inthanon.
Doi Inthanon National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Thailand. It is known for its waterfalls, rare trails, remote villages, viewpoints, sunrise/sunset viewing, bird watching, and cold weather throughout the year in its high-altitude areas. The main entrance to the park is located about 70 kilometers southwest of Chiang Mai city center.
Covering an area of 482 square kilometers, the park is part of the Himalayas, with elevations ranging from 800 meters to 2,565 meters. The highest peak in the park is Doi Inthanon, the tallest mountain in Thailand. The park has high humidity and cold weather year-round.
We also met numerous warm and friendly locals. Their warmth and kindness made this journey even more memorable.
