I made the cake today then saw your version. I actually have an oval baking dish! It's a tiny bit smaller so it will make a nice honey bun shape! So fun! I made my frosting with cream as well.
This is November 13th 2022, I made this cake last week and I used two boxes of cake mix it gives it a higher rise. I will be making it again for Thanksgiving to give to some neighbors this was a good one 😁. I made mine in the dollar store aluminum pans that's the largest one that's why I used two boxes that's a big cake if you use two boxes so you wouldn't have to make two separate cakes just use the one aluminum Dollar store pan.

Can you use milk instead of heavy cream??
You certainly can, just be careful not to make it too runny or it will not cost well. 😉
