I think you mean 2013 world championships silver medalist, Nick symonds. He only got 5th at the 2012 Olympics with a 1:42.95 800m. The next year however, he came back to get silver in the 2013 world championships
"Every RUclipsr" 🤣. Been on the RUclips doing running related content for the last 15 years......cut 4:15 for the mile (3:55 for 1500m) when I was in college (but i was more of a 10km-Marathon guy!) 🤣. Keep it up 🏃🏻♂🙌!
Probably more of a "mainstream youtubers" challenge. If he included running youtubers like The Athlete Special he would have to run a 4 min mile which is way beyond the reach of a non-elite like him.
@@visciousadventuresyou clearly don't know what you're talking about. Sage isn't bitter. He just has a low tolerance for BS and the title of this video is just that.

Every RUclipsr? I am expecting you to try beat olympic medalist Paul Chelimos time of 3:55 :) Many other olympic runners have channels too and do a lot of content!
If you really want to beat EVERY RUclipsr’s mile time, the hardest would probably be Jake Wightman (I had fun figuring out the fastest one). Good luck with the 3:47! Bonus: Jakob has a channel with 27k subscribers, but there’s been one upload in 4 years so I don’t think it counts
@@brianmcewen3082 nice find! I didn’t think about shared channels. Unfortunately, Ollie Hoare (Coffee Club Podcast) has both of them beat with 3:47.48 and 3:32.25i (converts to 3:45.08)
After doing some more research, it turns out the answer to this question is more complicated than I thought. I wanted to put my findings somewhere, so here we go. Which RUclipsr has the fastest mile time? It depends on how you define “RUclipsr” and “mile time”. Jakob Ingebrigtsen has run 3:43.73 and owns a decent sized channel, but he’s uploaded once in the last 4 years. That’s not a satisfying answer. If I restrict this to channels that have multiple uploads in the last six months, then the title goes to Ollie Hoare (Coffee Club Pod), with 3:47.48. If you’re looking for a solo channel instead of one with multiple creators, then Jake Wightman is the man to beat at 3:47.83. However, the mile is not an Olympic event and doesn’t receive a lot of attention at the international level. The 1500 is run more often, and indoor races exist too. These events are not technically a mile run like in the video but they’re close enough to be relevant. Counting all of these as “mile times” changes the answer. Using the scoring tables to convert everything to an outdoor mile, the title of fastest RUclipsr goes to George Mills (the 5k guys) with 3:44.25. For solo channels, it seems that Jake Wightman is still the winner at 3:45.83 unless you count Adam Fogg and FOGDOG (his time is 3:44.93). Time for some honorable mentions. Hobbs Kessler’s indoor mile PB converts to 3:43.96, but Very Nice Track Club hasn’t uploaded much recently (the last video he appears in is a year old) so I’m not counting it. Neil Gourley and Mario Garcia Romo both appear to have inactive personal channels. And I have to mention Eliud Kipchoge, who ran some great times in his youth (his converted time is 3:49.33) though he doesn’t appear to own the NN Running Team channel.
I love how he was touting the shoe he had the sponsorship for as an epic shoe and then every mile was "harder than usual" and "oddly difficult". I know he did these one after the other but he said it from the second mile lol.
The shoe he is advertising (Mount to Coast) is a new brand making shoes for road ultramarathons. Most people run ultras at 11:00+ per mile pace. What I’m saying is the shoes aren’t meant for running sub 6 miles.
