First time listener to this channel and mad at myself I didn't get here sooner. Greta content. I live in Texas but lived in Terre Haute in the late 90s/ early 2000s during Miller Time so the Pacers will always be my basketball team. Reggie, Rik Smits, Antonio Davis, Dale Davis, Jalen Rose, Mark Jackson, Chris Mullin, Austin Croshere, Al Harrington, etc. and of course Sycamore legend Larry coaching those guys brings back good memories. When I tell my people what basketball is like in Indiana I say what football is down here is what basketball is up there but even more intense. I have faith in this year's run because Hali and the boys can score on anyyyybody. Spike Lee get ready for another playoff exit dude cause these Pacers gonna roast the Knicks like Reggie use to
I was at the game last night! And boy it was electric. When we started chanting his name and he stepped up and hit the three at the top of the key was wild. The crowd was feeding that man with energy and Turner didn’t let us down.
I’ve been going to games for a very long time and the Myles Turner chant was something special. Love to the see city embrace this guy and love to see the confidence he’s playing with. Met him and his sister during a charity event over all star weekend and I’m a bona fide fan of the man now. Great character and an amazing ambassador for the city. Only Tyrese had a fuller schedule over that weekend and Myles volunteered for all of it! As for the game I don’t care at all who’s hurt or who’s available. That’s the NBA and it’s a long and arduous 82 game season. The teams that can win in June are the ones who can stay healthy and battle adversity. There’s no asterisk next to any of these wins. Go Pacers! Let’s end this in Milwaukee!
Great pod as usual. Small nit to pick. If Dave is going to use the wired Earbuds for recording can he please try not to hit the mic so often lol? Really a lot of pops in my earbuds while listening.
Great win! Great night! Great atmosphere! Don’t want to hear anything about injuries either. The Bucks beat the Nets in 2021 and no one talks about Harden missing games or no Kyrie in game 7. All they remember is that they won the championship that year. Let’s end this on Tuesday! Go Pacers!!
@@mrmatthew9999then you should return your championship because you probably don’t have one if Kyrie and Harden were fully healthy that series 😂. See how dumb that sounds?
I'm pretty sure that I found the "secret bathroom" yesterday. It was a very discreet door, and there was only 1 other guy in there 20 min before the game 😅
Love how Rick quickly pulls any player who’s in a good rhythm hitting shots consistently-the only time he was slow doing so was when when the crowd was chanting Myles’ name-what an a-hole🤦🏻♂️
As far as trying to defend Lopez in the post, I agree with Dave. Let him do it and limit everyone else. Then on the defensive end, let him keep up with the fast pace and watch him lose steam at the end of the game as evidenced by those missed FTs at the end of the game.
👏 to Bobby Portis giving his best Draymond Green impression. Showing who he truly is. He thinks he's too good to be out there with the other guy's. 😅 Can't play without Giannis and Lame Lillard. I'd traded Dame anywhere asap. Only game he played for them was the one playoff game. Pacers are honestly lucky Giannis and Dame are both out. Seeing as how we're playing without 2 SG's, have 0 SF's and an Offense that has totally changed to a Pascal offense. While we're trying to still play the same way. We will beat Milwaukee with their injuries for sure.. But as for the 2nd round. I'm gonna say really tough. Hopefully Pacers really focus on the positions of need and address them with the best possible options. Not just do nothing like usual and they should also be trying to move up as far into the 20's to get a better SF/PF.. Klintman would be awesome. If that's who we could get. His style with ours and Hali would be amazing. I think he has some true potential. He has too many tool's in his bag to not improve. Then FA get a couple good role player's that can guard, cut and shoot. Get Mathurin playing like Prime Oladipo before the injury would be nice lol.. Then we'd have something.
It was just really good bait from nemhard. gotta give credit where its due. He hooked his arm, yanked it, then shoved him. Some players will let it slide and bobby should have, but having a player like him is needed on every team
Myles has ALWAYS "Embraced" the player he's been . Problem ALWAYS was the Fans didn't. No que some fools who will STILL SAY he's soft or some silly shit.
Great win for the team. Let’s get that audio cleaned up brothers? Was truly distracting. Assume it was the pods in Dave’s ears. Podcaster? Yes. Audio file? No.
Middleton has been smoking anybody guarding him-mostly Nesmith-Lillard was schooling Nembhard-and both have made ridiculous fouls beyond the arc-any other players Rick would pull immediately but they’re his obvious favorites-but for this guest dork to praise either one for their defense is asinine.
Nesmith is playing as good of defense as he can on Middleton it's more that Middleton has hit numerous tough shots despite it. Nembhard as well though in his case it's a lot of shitty foul calls in favor of Dame. He’s constantly getting calls for jumping into contact despite the league claiming to not call that anymore. Game 3 was littered with those Dame calls.
@@Garfieldcatworldchampion My point is if it’s anyone else on the team-especially Mathurin, Toppin, Jackson or Smith, Rick pulls them as quickly as he can instead of letting them play through these mistakes like he does Nesmith & Nembhard. Rick has his favorites, it clearly shows, & he’s a loser for it!
@@Garfieldcatworldchampion He makes the same mistake often-put more length on both-just like finally putting Nesmith on Booker after he’d dropped 50 on Nembhard. Toppin can play Middleton-a lot better than putting him on freaking Lopez! Why in the world can’t this coach play big-essentially against bigger lineups-he has the roster to do it but refuses.
I don't know who was the announcer today, but in the second half alone he must have said "you have to give a lot of credit to the Pacers". Why ? Why a lot of Credit ?? At home vs a team without it's 2 HOF players and their 6th man. Still we had to shoot 52% on 3's to beat them!! We'll win this series against an old limping team and get humiliated by the physical Knicks.
I don't disagree, we should have won by 25-30. But I also think Carlisle took this game as an opportunity to play some different lineups. He gave a lot of bench minutes (before garbage time) when we didn't have to.
OKC gives a lot of bench minutes & we have the lineup & luxury to do so too-this conventional wisdom of all starters for every team have to play 40 minutes during the playoffs is NOT true as OKC has proven & exactly why Tom Thibodeau has never won a championship!
Lets first watch pacers win this series before talking about phili or new york. The pacers still learning thos playoffs. As much as we want them to dominate, but them winning without drama in 4th quarter was good already for a young team. I think they need to sponge all this until the win and adjust by 2nd round. If they go 2nd round the new york pacers will go 7 games. I think. I just wish its not phili. Embiid and maxey is mostly dangerous than brunson

Yeah, it was certainly a bother. Usually we've fixed it without issue beforehand so I thought it would go away - my fault that it didn't
