    Did you mean sin(x(t))? In this case that would be non-linear system.

    • @1b2m
      @1b2m 3 года назад

      Correct, and it's quite simple to check, (sin(1) + sin(2)) - sin(1+2) is not 0 as it would be in a linear system.

    I have question on addition of 2 functions here. x1(t)+x2(t) -> system, are you saying the x2(t) follows x1(t) to the system, if this is true then, x1(t)+x2(t)->system->x1(sint)+x2(sint), otherwise if you are adding these 2 functions bit by bit, I don't see how you can tell the equation holds true. I appreciate clarification on this. Thanks in advance.

    Isn't the law of homogenity the same as the law of additivity? The law of additivity is f(x+y) = f(x) + f(y) and the law of homogeneity is f(nx) = nf(x). Basically, you are replacing "y" with as many x's as you are multiplying. I guess the only scenario the law of additivity would not represent is if n was a decimal?

    sir what if an system follows the equation ...y(x)=mx+c
    the equation and system is still linear but it does not follows the LOH

    • @alphasatari
      @alphasatari 5 лет назад +1

      If you’re defining a System then output and input depend on the same variable it should be,
      y(t) = mx(t)+c
      For a System to be linear,
      y(t) = 0
      when, x(t) = 0
      This is a non linear system.
