You guys are making these 589's 150% better than when they came off the assembly line.
The steel beam from the warehouse behind the truck that you can see through sleeper window, makes it look like it has a 2 piece windshield 👍🏻👍🏻
I don't know how anyone can dislike the look of a 589 now.
I think the cab, which is slightly slanted, doesn't match the boxiness of the truck, but overall, it's still a pretty beautiful truck
its simple to dislike the new Frieghtliner.. i mean... "Peterbilt 589"... just look at a real Peterbilt... like a 359,379,389 and then it's really easy to not like the 589. Try it.
@@davidgastelum7428 it doesn't look that bad, but it's disproportionate. A slanted cab does not match the boxy looks of the 389, which they just switch the cabs. The thing is, almost all the Peterbilt model nowadays use the same cab. It is so that they can save cost, and an advantage to having same parts with other trucks is that they can be cheaper since they are more mass-produced, but they are really boring. The difference between a 579 and a 589 or a 589 and 389 is basically the same as the difference between Iphone 14 and Iphone 15, basically nothing. Although the 579 and 589 is different, their cabs aren't, same thing with 389, they're the same, but only this time, the cab is different. But I think it's still good, I mean, if you comlare the looks to a Peterbilt 372, you can still call it beautiful.

It’s getting there, tanks will help. Chicken lights down under cab & bunk will help. It’s going to take time for drivers to accept this new model. I think the 379 & 389’s models are going to be sought after more than ever. Dave D. from Maine.

Never doubted that this would look badass. I'm sure the 589 haters will be a little more quiet after this one. That hidden DEF tank is really clever and going to look sick as well!

The visor gives the truck the look of a 389 but retains the visibility gained by the big windshield. Looks good!

but as the changes were made, I slowly started to like it. What really sealed the deal was the visor. It's absolutely perfect, and it totally
changed the look of the truck...
There's only a couple things I would change on it. I don't like straight stacks. I keep picturing it in my mind with mufflers and old school
factory heat shields. I think it would really add a retro look to it, but I know a lot of people like straight stacks...
The other thing I would change would be to lose those drive tire fenders, and put some polished half fenders on it.
I've tried to be open minded about them, but I think they look cheap and not very practical for people that have to run chains.
If the black trucks going to be the project truck all year long you should take the hood off and extended out and make it a traditional long head
A 589 needs a visor bad too look right. That looks great.
This is an amazing look for the 589, and I REALLY like the hidden DEF tank! My only concern with it is that it looks like a feller would have to be REALLY careful not to burn the spit outta his arm every time he is reaching in there to refill his DEF.

I HOPE YOU ARE THERE SATURDAY TOO!!!! I'M TAKING A DAY OFF ON FRIDAY TO GET SLEEP SO I CAN MAKE IT ALL DAY SATURDAY. I feed hogs 5:00p.m. to 5:00a.m. Monday through Friday. Freightliner and a 48ft live bottom feed wagon. Haven't been to MATS since 2008. Looking forward to it. And hopefully a bright orange 589 Peterbilt.

T he y gone KILL for saying this one! First, imma say that the truck is now complete with that visor. The front end directly facing the truck is mean AF... now with that being said it looks like if Western Star & Kenworth had a child thats what is look like as a Peterbuilt!

I love how you did the boxes on this build. Looks more like the classic look with the air tanks placed below the cab. Still can't get past the dash. I am really like what you did to both builds. Job well done!!

If I buy a Peterbilt, I'm gonna change it to where the park brake and trailer brake controls are push to apply so using them in an emergency is less of a hassle. You hope you never have to do it, but anything can happen on the road.
Personally I’d prefer the top of visor trimmed about two inches and the visor closer to the window…… that’s personal preference, yet this made the truck look awesome …………

That was quick, I love the 589’s 😂😂 doesn’t help that there’s no other options for a hood Peterbilt. Don’t see the big issue with the 1 piece windshield, W9’s have them too, don’t get?

I love the 59/79/89 but the can of the 589 is so much better. Being in a 579 idk what I’d do going back to a 379 and trying to store the stuff I have

For what it is it’s ok. I’d be careful with the center support because at 60-70 mph the wind is going to vibrate the crap out of the visor.

I really prefer the visor on the black truck. It’s just my preference I just don’t like that bow tie style of visor. Truck still looks killer everyone has different tastes and you guys attention to detail and quality of work is next level

Hey guys this Big Dog 70 up here in west Virginia I don't have a email address so I use my wife's email address that thing is super sharp and kichie cool dude peterbilt needs to get you guys and your suppliers to meet up and talk about some sharp shit on this wide cab that they are making us settle for as a 389 in the future oh and by the way I don't like the big cab 589 but you guys and your suppliers are making me take notice keep up the great video work awesome job guys

I would maybe move the Peterbilt emblem on the sides of the hood move up a inch or so but not touch the seam of the top panels. That would make the hood not look quite as big.
