I'm starting my truck this Spring 2024. Ordered several items this past summer. I'm converting a small shuttle bus and will be doing lemonade, shaved ice and Angus dogs. The hottest, muggiest days will keep you busy, so a canopy will be a must or a large market umbrella. Don't give up! I hadn't thought of to-go bottles but I might consider that idea as well. Good luck!

Where did you find the market that you can sign up for?

Interesting video. Why’d you pick lemonade of all the things to sell? There’s no followup, did you not goto more sales events?

You didn't ask me, I know lol. But, I've put a lot of thought into this. I'm starting my own for these reasons: 1. I don't need to hire anyone to help. I should be capable of doing it by myself. 2. Lemonade is considered "low risk" and doesn't need the same permits. I believe hot dogs are low risk, too. In Michigan, if it's not a low risk food. You have to get into a licensed kitchen and pretty much rent space to do your prep and store your food.

@@asaunders187 I too have done the same thought into it and made similar conclusions. You selling yet?

@EricsWormPlayground I just started this about 2 weeks ago. I'm currently getting all the permits I need to start. I hope to be up and running after my vacation in about a month. It definitely could be done sooner though.

@@asaunders187 I started 6 months ago with hot chocolate, I bombed due to bad execution. Learned a lot but shelved it due to embarrassment. Just took it back on with soda, water, popsicles and did much better. Renewed my confidence. Who is your main online vending mentor?

@EricsWormPlayground I've never heard of a vendor mentor. I guess I'll have to look into that. Care to share what you did differently the second time compared to the first? I'm someone who worries about failer. I sometimes let that fair restrict me from doing what I want to do.

I'm also curious about this. She made the lemonade at home. So, im curious if the health department had to come see her kitchen. I'm working on starting my own, but im stuck on the permits needed.
