Yes, it really was! In searching for a solution for RUclips but haven’t been able to find one. Except to use my PC to stream which is probably what I’ll start doing.
Hey Adriane. What you need to do is make sure you flip to landscape before you start the stream. If you start in portrait, or the phone thinks you're portrait, it will stay that way for the whole stream. I hope you get value from the other videos here on the channel and consider subscribing.

The only thing is that if you are watching yourself during your livestream, you are looking at yourself backwards...fine if your not doing much...but trippy if you are doing something active, like playing guitar! Is there a way to flip in the feed without flipping it on the screen?

I am a school librarian and because of Covid-19 and school closures, some of the publishers are letting us read stories live. It is fun, but the kids couldn't read the words. :) Gonna try again next week. Thanks.
The left hand guitar is the norm. The guitar points to the left, is played by the left hand on the frets, and strummed with the right hand. The strings are mounted for "left hand players". If you are a right hand guitar player, your guitar is held in your right hand on the frets, the left hand strums the strings, and the strings are remounted to accommodate the right hand player (which is not the norm). Most people naturally pick up and play holding the guitar with their left hand (on the frets) and strumming with the right although we might agree that perhaps the right hand is stronger and much better suited to do the fret work, while the left hand for many is weaker and would grow stronger and more nimble if started on the strumming to build the left arm muscle to match the right arm.
It’s an interesting one isn’t it? Similar in some sports that what’s considered right handed and “normal” could technically be called left handed as that’s the dominant hand.
Thanks for this video - this is what I've been looking for. BUT - for some reason when I go to facebook live - I don't have the tools icon you are clicking on to get to the flip option. The last icon I see on my screen is the edit icon. Do you have any idea why? I'm not sure how to fix that?
You may be using an Android device? I’ve been told by others since that this is only a feature supported on the iOS version of the app for some reason.

I do so -- but then I get the same exact message! I'd ignore it, except for the fact that then I can't see anything else on the iPhone screen (really annoying)! The only way the message disappears is when I go into portrait mode, which I don't want to do. Any suggestions?

I found a way to "fix" the green screen problem when you flip to mirror on the livestream in facebook. Go to the little tool symbol on bottom right. then click the star, bottom left.choose the girl face at the bottom. It clears up the green. Worked for me

I am going insane since they got rid of the tools on iOS… I reported a bug fix and haven’t gotten a reply it’s been a week. They have to bring this back how could this be, I don’t feel like it would weigh down the operating system. I really need it back!
Something has changed since because when clicking wand tool, All you have are effects no tools icon. Pretty much stuck with mirrored video. Tried this on tablet same experience. I read someplace the Facebook Live cams seem to favor iPhone and not Androids I have Android so this might be the reason I can't see the icons you mention in this vid. Facebook can be a real pain in the neck... UPDATE! I Finally found that box. But it's different In size and does not sit with the other effect Icons. I spotted it today it appeared momentarily barely a second. Phone put into landscape mode kept the phone totally still, the box appears its in portrait mode but will vanish the minute phone is slightly moved and can be a pain trying to get it to appear. Once it did I touched it and it went into a landscape box. So sorted that anyone having problem shooting in landscape on a Samsung A12 do what I did, might work on other Androids. The box is very tiny it appeared bottom right side while screen held in landscape. Mirroring the video so everything appears normal is still one I am not able to fix..All settings done gone through and still nothing. Will keep on looking....

Hey there my friend. So, the compression Facebook use for live video coupled with the front facing camera does result in some blurry and less than perfect video. Lightning is usually the best Thing to improve the quality of you can make sure you have plenty of light on you when recording.
I have this too. I need to flip the screen as reading books to children and I want words to be correct way round. However, screen goes transparent green when flipped. I look like a witch! LOL
Hi Pete. (Again!) I've just been watching, Editing in GarageBand iOS (Pt 3) - MIDI Note Editing (iPhone/iPad) - Quick Jam #13 and something is not right! I'm told to Touch and hold an empty part of the editor, then drag around multiple notes to select them. Not on my iPad Pro . All that happens is everything moves!!!! Left and right and up and down. Can you advise please? Thank you.
Hey there. Hmmm.... that is strange. So is the view scrolling, or the actual MIDI items are moving? You do need to start your drag outside of any active items as opposed to on an item as this will move it. I haven't come across this before but will try to replicate it. Hi Pete, is it possible to use garageband in the background while live streaming on facebook? My idea is to use garageband effects like reverb for the voice and compression and some effects for my guitar too? I have got a steinberg ur12 interface and garageband on the iPhone. Thx :)
Hey there. Thanks for watching and your question. I’ve just tatted getting in to Facebook Live so experimenting with this myself, however haven’t actually done it yet. I believe you will need something like Audiobus or AUM (third party apps) which help you route your audio in the background. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I’ll be experimenting with this soon so keep an eye on the channel.

You should be fine then. 3rd party software doesn’t usually have this mirroring problem.

Vertical flip? Might be a dodgy gyro in there. Always try turning off and in as this resets some errors.

That’s a weird one? Maybe check that the “lock” isn’t on for the orientation? Haven’t come across that sorry.

Can a live video be changed from mirror image to actual live, once it has been recorded?
You would need to download it and flip it in an editing program.

Yup. Facebook seem to have removed the option on the latest update. I’m absolutely baffled as to why they hose to do this?!

Hey there my friend. So, the compression Facebook use for live video coupled with the front facing camera does result in some blurry and less than perfect video. Lightning is usually the best Thing to improve the quality of you can make sure you have plenty of light on you when recording.
I’ve fixed this on Facebook with iPad but what about Instagram?
I don’t think Instagram has this option unfortunately.
My OPPO android phone doesn't have flip option. Can you suggest how to do it.

What happens when the streamer doesn't do that but the viewer whats to flip de transmission to read the text
Hmmmm…. Probably need a video editor at that point. I don’t think Facebook would support this natively.
Works for me, however, once I flip the video as you’ve shown us, the colour changes to all transparent????? Can you help please

I have this too. I need to flip the screen as reading books to children and I want words to be correct way round. However, screen goes transparent green when flipped. I look like a witch! LOL
As of MAy 3, 2020 when I tap the cooking utenisl sign, the screen stays GREEN?!?!?! What happened? Pls advise befcore 5/10/20

Hi Pete. (Again!) I've just been watching, Editing in GarageBand iOS (Pt 3) - MIDI Note Editing (iPhone/iPad) - Quick Jam #13 and something is not right! I'm told to Touch and hold an empty part of the editor, then drag around multiple notes to select them. Not on my iPad Pro . All that happens is everything moves!!!! Left and right and up and down. Can you advise please? Thank you.
Hey there. Hmmm.... that is strange. So is the view scrolling, or the actual MIDI items are moving? You do need to start your drag outside of any active items as opposed to on an item as this will move it. I haven't come across this before but will try to replicate it. As much information as you can provide will help. Cheers!

How do you do this if you're going live on your pc? I can't find this option on the desktop browser version of facebook.

Yeah. It bugs me seeing logos and words backwards and I can’t believe it doesn’t annoy other people or the developers enough to change these?

is it possible to use garageband in the background while live streaming on facebook? My idea is to use garageband effects like reverb for the voice and compression and some effects for my guitar too? I have got a steinberg ur12 interface and garageband on the iPhone.

Hey there. Thanks for watching and your question. I’ve just tatted getting in to Facebook Live so experimenting with this myself, however haven’t actually done it yet.
I believe you will need something like Audiobus or AUM (third party apps) which help you route your audio in the background. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I’ll be experimenting with this soon so keep an eye on the channel.
