I'm using this build except I think [Rifle aptitude] (90 status chance) makes more sense to me rather than galvanized version?!

That makes sense, it seems to be designed to advertise and/or complement the new puncture status effect. Especially given the fact that the weapon only deals puncture damage, making the recently buffed puncture damage mods just as effective as elemental damage mods
I figured that was the case, tethered it with cold and threw on that hammer shot.
I love this gun. It just feels so nice. Usual bread n butter gun, basic af, but gets the job done.

@@Charlies_Factoryas are most viral +slash based weapons; if you build for corrosive cold, then obviously it'd be better for acolytes

I tried it when I just got it in simulacrum, no mods, no abilities, just shot a whole magazine and I was super confused as to why I was getting consistent red crits. Definitely modding for this

As I never go deep into super high levels, this weapon is perfect for the content I do, so I'll have the time of my life with this one
Nice findings. I wondered what was up since just spraying bullets at crowds didn't lead to many crits but focusing on a single heavy target would give way more than the 5% originally estimated. That makes sense if the crits start kicking in after status procs stack up.
This is the first gun in warframe that gives me consistent random red crits, i thought it was bc i was playing harrow and using his crit buff but I noticed when the ability was no longer active it was still consistently randomly red criting
This makes a lot of sense. Today while running some excavation fissures using this wonderful gun, I was consistently getting like 10 red crits in a row on a single target, while only running critical delay and viral munitions. I felt the 5% may have been a bit incorrect because of that. Regardless this gun is amazing! This new mechanic makes me wonder if they are going to be rebalancing status vs crit in the future.

I think 5% is right without status mods. You feel about 10%( me too, trust me, i feel that too) due to multi shot
It shoot with 84 ammo, with multi so you feel alot of red number is easily to explain
Mystery Solved... The Red Crits are caused by the Enhanced Damage Numbers Setting.
If you want to use your 2nd as your main gun, or melee this gun is great for building status effects, then swapping from.
literally use the cedo or the lenz, cold+whatever else you add

@@ShadonicX7543 I think Sekinafi29 just misunderstood and thought Rapsnack just said to only use Cedo instead of using two guns. Rather then Cedo being an even better option compared to Gotva. Though for anyone reading this remember you don't need to use the best options every time, variety is the spice of life and Gotva also can get the job done. The nice thing is if you played recently even as a new player their is a good chance you got the Gotva, the same might not be true of cedo.
@@ShadonicX7543 cedo is good, but it does have some drawbacks of its own, and after a few times of its glaive bouncing off of one enemy and going to another room entirely only to wait for it to return, you can get very annoyed with it

Good status, great sound, very satisfying reload. Perfect AR-style gun.
Im running the status build you do in this, but im running with Piercing Caliber over a second element and that's also working quite nicely.
That's actually a really cool mechanic. Imo this gun is great to take advantage of the new puncture and cold status effects. Thanks for the builds again Mr Leyzar.

I used it with like only 60% status and had a 3 mag spree of 0 reds then all on 1 enemy I saw a literally cloud of red crits. Them odds are crazy.
It's got nothing to do with Odds.... The Damage Numbers Update Prioritises Red Crits when you Exceed the Damage Numbers Cap... Which is why you only See Red Crits.
Switch to Legacy Numbers to see all previous 30 Numbers (the Cap is 30 on Legacy).
@lookalike4805 on single target weapon I'm not exactly gonna exceed the number display cap. I'm just saying that I got 0 red crits on multiple targets, then suddenly did all of them in a row to 1 target, which would be 1/10 (if it's 10%)^the number of shots I did. For that to happen.

Thank you! I've been telling people who are complaining that the gun sucks or is mediocre but who are using the same build they put on every other assault rifle that they *need* Hammer Shot.
With many things in this game, if they say it’s garbage they are probably using it wrong

Was testing this with Zephyr Tornados and Gas + Electric was red criting 50% of the time.

I found with a Gauss build that I tailored to do something specific, I get a similar outcome. I also have a styanax to try since thermal sunder plus rally point and armor strip should make the thing nuclear level brutal. I might try blast to see is something funny happens actually

Gotva prime is deadly in Saryn's hand, especially with nourish and venom dose, an un forma-d Gotva can cheese steel path (btw this is not using the gotva's passive, since i don't think external elemental effect can proc the passive)

It feels kinda weird. But it's pretty capable. But I revert back to the Quellor which is absolutely broken in a fun way.
To people who DID watch the show and still didnt get anything. Go and unlink and relink your account. Mine had been apparently in limbo for a year and when i relinked and then relogged into warframe i ended up with a mail that had every single drop i had scored since ....which was 30 items 😐

I did not watch the tennocon stream this year and didn't know what they whould give. So i found the riven of the gotva prime and i was so confused about it, cause i never heard of that gun before lmao. I dont need it so if someone whants it i can sell it
did you remove or change the galvanized mods? it may impact the info. I think I saw them activated at least once during the brief testing shown.

Just some screwing around with this new info, but I seem to be getting *more* red crits when I have base critical chance. Maybe the chance of the red crit is also dependent on *not* rolling a crit that bullet. Maybe my brain is playing tricks on me
It's like Incarnon Devouring Atrition but adding Crit if you dont Crit
So does that mean if you go over 100% Crit Chance then you will never Red Crit ? 🤔
@lookalike4805 no idea. I haven't tested it enough. It's just something I noticed in small tests. Probably wrong. With the info released today, I'm sure proper testers will figure things out eventually

So basically forgo the Critical chance and just run critical damage and status.

This gun is what I loved about the braton when I started warframe. Basic rifle , no gimmicks just reliable damage .
there are gimmicks, they are just passive in this case

The new puncture status mechanics makes critical chance procs more so it’s nice to build Corrosive cold to build up more Critical Damage to take advantage of the high puncture crit effects.
All you need now is *Primary Encumber* 🤓
Does it have inate punch through? I wish I could check myself but I can't. I might be confused, but I thought I remembered someone saying it does.
Maybe you mixed up Innate Puncture with Innate Punchthrough 🤯

How is your reload 1.5? It shows that my reload is 2 even though I put in the same exact mods

That chance should be higher, but then maybe status chance as a whole should be
10% chance to red crit is not bad at all, but when you consider the fire rate of this gun, 10% is actually quite a lot, there will almost always be a red crit flashing

Sadly no, its a hard 300% like the kavat buff. Leyzar has commented on this on other videos.

You should Ignore it's Gimmick Completely and mod it like Every other Rifle.

you cant compare the stug to... anything that does damage! the stug is "special" in a very different way

Do some math and you will find your own answer. But imo yellow crit + 5% red crit is far better than 1/2 not crit at all!
its entirely up to you, i would experiment and just see what feels the best or what feels the most reliable
if you have simulacrum, tinker with the loadout a bit and see what happens

Pretty sure if you read the puncture status affect by hovering your mouse over it it'll tell you how puncture stacks as a status. I believe it's 25% unless it's special for gotva

you can make steel path easy with nearly anything! if you have good mods, almost every gear item can run steel path... i even seen some dude run with mk1 gear in steel path and it worked shockingly well

all they confirmed was that if you miss out, it will come back in the future... maby it will come as a quest reward for the next cinematic story
Ofcourse it is not best rifle but it is extreme good option for newbie. It is far better than braton, boltor( without genesis) soma blah blah.
It is the good thing to research because imo, it is the first gun count crit as one status

There's much Better Options at MR 14.... You will Outgrow this gun before you Reach that MR.
its not the best, but its still extremely powerful... you have to consider that in a game where some people can mod the lowest tier gear to work in steel path... that "BEST" really does not matter at all

Try unlinking and relinking your Twitch account. Assuming you claimed the drop on Twitch it should go through immediately once you relink accounts. Worked for my friend.
I had to unlink my twich account from warframe and then relink it... they did something strange called twitch drops 2.0. Try doing that

Hey, I had the same issue and I did some research into it. If your Warframe account was linked to Twitch before 2021, then you'll have to relink it. They changed how drops work in 2021. Do a quick google and you'll find instructions from DE.
Does punch through affect the red crit chance? With primed shred on i shot through a straight line of enemies in simulacrum and it was just pure red crit only
Yes the more enemies you hit with a single bullet the more red crits you hit

Turns out the Punch Through thing is just a Myth...
The Reason you see more Red Crits is because Hitting More Enemies generates more Damage Numbers... The Enhanced Damage Setting will then Prioritise The Red Ones once you go Over The Cap.
Long Story Short.... use Legacy Damage Numbers.

Woke up early to get the gotva prime. Watched the stream and realized 2 days after the cut of period i had to claim it not wait for it to be delivered to our inventory. Contacted both Warframe and twitch and its a big NO i miss out. Not impressed at all.
It didn't drop for me, much sad
I'd recommend dropping Thermite Rounds for Primed Shred or Vigilante offense. Having punch-through with over 100% status chance means more critical hits than with a bit more status chance, at least that's what my testing showed.

i think u should try it wit citrine the 3 just gives status chance without anny other elements and u can go easy over 100% status
carefull not be 2 close 2 enemys or u get other dmg points XD

does it specify if the status effect has to be inflicted by the gun shot itself or can it be from any outside source like citrine ability for example

im not sure tbh, i think from the gun because its obvious but we still need to know for testing reasons. I can assume "well obviously you have to proc a status with gotva" but its fucking warframe, so ye, i gotta know that too if it HAS to be from Gotva or if warframe abilities status procs count.

Put gas and cold on it got 100% status and used cold arcane paired it with mag's pull and the augment for her 4 and it absolutely wrecks.

Fun fact did you know that zephyr's tornados always gain a status when shot, did you know they also spread their damage in a aoe, did you know it shreds steel path kosmas this way

@@MumboJumboZXC I think it more says you should not treat the weapon as a damage weapon, but as something you use to quickly get status procts on an enemy before swapping to something build for damage.
I...forgot to put in the thing to get it. I watched Tennocon and didn't put in the get reward command.
That doesn't do anything. You should have had a drop meter on the top right while watching fill to 100% if you watched for 30 minutes, if you go to your Drops section, it should be there to claim
