You made me order Remember our Trip and Four Clans Conflict.
Those are two very solid games! I’m sure you’ll love them!
I’ve played a couple of these, but every game in this video sounds fantastic. Your descriptions of each game were excellent Jay, really gave a great sense of each title. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching! It’s been a long journey-both the trip to Japan and relocating from Taiwan back to the States. It’s been lovely to see this series tie both those chapters together.
I loooove that you shot this in so many locations! ❤
Thanks! Shooting this around Tokyo and Japan was so much fun! 🤓
Great video as usual, with just one small piece of feedback: for these outdoor videos, your audio is skewed heavily to one side, meaning for headphone users it sounds like it's only in one ear. Bit of a jarring audio experience, thought you might want to know, but don't want to be overly negative!
This is great feedback thanks. I believe I didn't switch the audio to dual mono to alleviate this problem. Apologies. I've been better about this since the move across the salt 👍
Dude, that Gundam moves?! That is so sick.
The Gundam also kneels!!!
Thanks Jay! I can’t wait for the 10-1 video! Wondering if Come Sail Away has bumped up to your #1 Saashi game. We sure love it here!
Oh it most definitely has! I’ll update the list next year, but will open it up to all of Asia 👍
Stumbled across your channel and so glad I did. Great video and explanation of each game. I want to try them all out. I'll have to try and source some of these games if I can in Australia.
Thanks! And welcome to Team Awesome! Good hunting on your quest! You can do it! Be sure to check out my “How to buy board games from Japan” video. Everything you need to get started is there 👍
Another great video!!!
I don't have none of these games :(
Looking forward to see the last 10 japanese boardgames :)
Keep the good work!!!
Thanks so much!!
Ahhh we love Trains! That's a great tip about the maps! We're keen to have more cards though. Any recommendations where to find Rising Sun or Coastal Tides around Tokyo? I've not had luck so far in Akiba. Thanks for this series!
Thanks for watching! I think you’ll have better luck finding Trains content in the states. But if you’re looking in Japan, then Surugaya (the Japanese eBay) would be the first place I look.
Thanks for the tips! Maybe one day I'll luck upon a copy locally. I was happy to see a lot of our other favorite Japanese games on your megalist, and now we know of many others we can try!
Really digging the live recording and the new mic is so clear and intuitive. Love this upload, keep up the great work! Im looking forward for your next upload 🎉
Thanks! Yeah, the new mics are working great! I’m so glad we were able to pick them up!
I looooooove Remember Our Trip! So excited these lists are back and nearly finished. I wonder if maybe another Nukumi game will be on your top 10?
🤘🎸💥
Why the heck would you switch the theme of Hameln Cave, that sounds so radical.
It’s an odd choice. I’ve talked with Allplay and hearing their logic behind the decisions they made, I completely agree with them.
Machi Koro was nominated for the "Spiel des Jahres" too.
Aaaahhhh. I knew there was one before. Thanks!!!
We love Machi Koro 2!
Omg again finally!!
Happy to see a new video. Rumble Nation deluxe is supposed to have an English release coming this year according to Tanuki Games. I will def be picking it up.
It’s great! I sold El Grande for my move to the States. I was planning on picking it back up, but after playing the deluxe version of Rumble Nation, I don’t think I have to pick up EG anymore.
Surprised that Scout wasn't higher! It was my most played game of 2023 and everyone I taught it to loved it so much.
Trick of the Rails looks super interesting, will try to keep a look out for it! Same with Hachi Train!
And omg Khora has been popping up for me almost everywhere but I always pushed it aside because the box art looks kind of boring but now I'm def picking it up the next time I see it.
I own Rumble Nation but idk, the first and only time I played it, it fell completely flat and its been sitting in my shelf since then. Now I'm thinking of pulling it out for another try.
Great work as always and I really can't wait for the next installment!
Thanks for watching! No worries. We may just have different tastes. If you’re looking for Trick of the Rails, you should check out the Portland Game Collective. They have copies of the new version with updated art. I’d look into that 👍
19:59 I am the person that uploaded the Rumble Nation stuff to BGG :)
Small World! Thanks!
Loving the backdrop - I can't imagine how much work it took to film at all those different locations.
Thanks! It definitely took some work. We basically took our gear everywhere we went 😅 The editing took a loooooooong time.
@@CardboardEast I bet! I'm excited to see if there are more tricktakers in the top 10. I was surprised to see Hii Fuu!!
@@shockwavemasta I really love Hii Fuu!! It’s fast & approachable. It can be a bit swingy, which is divisive but it creates a lot of memorable moments!
I got Rumble Nation and Scout. Wonder about getting Pathogen. Trains looks nice.
Pathogen is so worth it if you love 2p abstracts!
Great, top videos !
So many good games.
Could you tell me which board games shop to go in Tokyo, please ?
Thanks
Can wait for the top 10

Will check as many as I can !
😀
Nukumi Onsen Hanjouki: (1) how did you record at Fushimi Inari without hoards in the background? (2) I need to find a reasonable facsimile of the 🐈 token.
(1) Wake up early.
(2) Search: "cat mini" on Etsy and you should find some.
Would Nukumi be easy to play for someone who doesn't know any Japanese? I love Agricola and hot springs!
Everything has been translated on BGG & I’ve also done a playthrough here on RUclips 👍
