There are sooo many 80s fashions that I remember! Of course the fold & roll of the jeans cuffs. But fashion was all over the place! 1- Oakley sunglasses 2- Parachute pants (zippers everywhere) 3- Coca-cola and Spuds Mackenzie t-shirts 4- bolo ties 5- Polo by Ralph Lauren 6- Shoulder pads This list goes on forever!
Legwarmers are brilliant, I still wear them in the winter now! So many fashions I recall as a kid in the 80s, the early 80s Pirate/New Romantic look, with frilly blouses, velvet knickerbockers and headbands, then later on the ripped jeans (which I never liked or wore), cropped jackets and matching short full skirts, waistcoats, Grolsch bottle tops on shoes (Bros!), leggings with rara skirts, neon colours, brightly patterned shirts and triangles on everything and um shellsuits.
I saw long legwarmer boots a few winters ago, they had them in today's fashion colors, black or beige.. the boot has a pointy tip, flat and/or high heal and instead of being just a long zipped or laced boot, its kinda like a legwarmer boot, it was nice. Kind of a today mixed with the 80s look.
I went through just about every fashion trend in the 80's - neon, leg warmers and ripped off-the-shoulder Flashdance sweatshirts, Janet Jackson's key earring. My favorite though was dressing preppy - pleated plaid skirts, Izod polos, sweater tied over the shoulders. And my life revolved around Sergio Valente's and Jordache's. Loved being a teen in the 80's ❤
half jean/half fluffy full skirts, short jean shorts with flowery material ruffles-(possibly 90's), two pairs of socks that were two different colors either scrunched or folded, guess jeans with side zippers, flowery blouses with transparent panels.
In the early 90s my boy Ogre was working at Capezio Shoes at an outlet mall, and their inventory never had an exact amount of shoes, so at the end of the day, my closet was full of LA Gears, British Knights, Pumas, Reeboks and of course fine Italian leather shoes made by Capezio.
at have a pair of L.A.GEAR high tops they have rhinestones & black cut out flowers on them with double shoe strings... i was looking at them this morning like any day now ill be seeing these back out
Harrington Jackets, Sta Prest trousers, Tonic trousers, Loafer and brogue shoes, DM Boots, Fred Perry polo shirts, Brutus and Ben Sherman shirts, white socks, Green flight jackets, Levi 501.
Short embroidered Tops (Made of thread only, no material, just thread (holy Top) with a printed number on front and/or back) T-shirts.. Boys would often wear them to go bike riding with their friends on their BMX, often on top of a T shirt. Also, striped shorts and long white socks with stripes. Overall, your video is perfect!! 80s were so cool!!
There are a lot of things coming back. My daughter just got a haircut that looks a lot like the 80s. Short and curly, she loves it. My wife has a picture that looks just like her taken from the 80s. I like that a lot of the fashion is coming back.
Hahaha. When I was a kid I fractured my collar bone and had to wear a brace that made it look like I had huge shoulder pads. I was so embarrassed. Everyone asked my what it was.
You forgot the pointy shoes, black faux leather flat pointy shoes for girls and they often had a metal cap at the tip of the shoe. You also forgot the colorful strapless cloth rompers for girls. Strapless short rompers with white lines on each side. lol
some of the 80s trends were awful, but at least effort was put into styling, verses today's generation who don't even try, or even care for that matter. looking lazy is just accepted now
80s best decade ever loved them neon colors great music great movies
Completely agree! Loved the 80s!
I can say the same for 1990's, it was the best time ever.
Absolutely!!!😅
I agree with you.
Yes. Agree.
We had in Germany a very big 80's Revival since 2012 - 2016.....❤

So true!! I remember shoulder pads. This is a great list, thanks for the input!
Don't forget the banana clips for girls hair.
Anyone remember Units romper outfits?

I was born in 1990 so I just barely missed it . I wish we could bring some of these styles back
Parachute pants, moon boots and Izod
as someone born in the 2000s i can conform that style has changed, alot. i do see people wear ripped jeans tho
Yeah that style coming back was popular in 80s
Just seems like yesterday. The acid wash denim was overkill. Literally.
I think I might have had about 4 perms during the eighties.
AMERICA'S FINEST DECADE (look at how bad today is 2023)

Oh yeah. Loved my pink LA Gear high tops, leg warmers and ripped sweatshirts.
Late 1989 i had L.A gears at 5 years old. I remember seeing teen girls wearing acid wash jeans
In the UK we called fanny packs ‘bum bags’ (probably because fanny has another, rather ruder meaning here!)
That’s funny! I didn’t know that.
Yes I had a couple of bum bags as we called them, very useful at discos lol.
So you have no women named Fanny over there?🤭
half jean/half fluffy full skirts, short jean shorts with flowery material ruffles-(possibly 90's), two pairs of socks that were two different colors either scrunched or folded, guess jeans with side zippers, flowery blouses with transparent panels.
I LOVE IT!!!! I AGREE WITH YOU 100%. ALL THOSE PRODUCTS ARE COOL THEN. AND THEY ARE COOL NOW!!!
I remember two toned jeans, Benneton, Esprit, Reeboks, anything fluorescent, charm bracelets, swatch, fat shoe laces, starter jackets, members only jackets, Oh and we wore big sweaters, fashion pins, braided headbands, feather hair clips, jelly shoes, friendship bracelets
Plastic charm necklaces, jelly brackets and shoes, and florescent, united colors of Bennaton and Pasta clothes
Cut-offs 😍
Reebok white high top sneakers and Capezio white dance shoes both warn with leg warmers.
All of these 80's fashion trends takes me back to my junior and high school years. People still wear ripped jeans and fanny packs.
at have a pair of L.A.GEAR high tops they have rhinestones & black cut out flowers on them with double shoe strings... i was looking at them this morning like any day now ill be seeing these back out

A late 40s woman in the house. We had great fashion, however our hair styles were questionable 😂😂
Love that! LOL.
I really love everything related to this golden era, it's a shame that I was born in 2001.
Joe Montana also played for the Chiefs!
Don’t forget about British Knights! 😁
Oh wow, yes! I forgot about those shoes. BK. They were all over during the 80s.

Billy Ray Cyrus was not famous until 1990s
You’re right. Achy breaky heart was his big song released in the early 90s. Sometimes the decades blend together for me.
Okay so I'm from these decades and the fashion sense in those decades were horrible
Haha, that’s exactly what my kids say, just wait. Some of these will come back into style.
Fashion goes in cycle
So true!
