Regardless what an amazing thing to have experienced. Been listening to coil since 92 and wish with all my heart I had been there. I hope you enjoyed the performance.
I was there too...... I was a little worse for wear though...... funny how I thought I was hallucinating when Francois came out....... until the bootleg surfaced and the ape of Naples was released, I thought it was a version of 'Rosa Decidua' from the autumn equinox ep/ moon's milk...... and given this was recorded during the autumn of 2004 and intended as a healing spell for Marc Almond who was in the ICU at the time..... it makes sense!
@@TheIanoTube not quite...... well...... it is on their final studio LP 'the ape of Naples'..... a mix of the Ableton backing track used live, additional studio overdubs and samples from this...... Geff 'conducted'/ directed Francois testory for the studio version which is more focused, emotional and dynamic than the live version here! For us fans..... especially those of us who were lucky enough to have attended this show..... we're just thankful it was recorded...... I think the quality is fantastic considering (sleazy done a great job putting this together), and trust me...... there's nothing that would've captured what we witnessed in person..... the sound was immense, the bass was physical (I still remember the vibrations under my feet)..... the way Geff's samples screams & howls were sent around the hall.....
God. Balance looking up at the beginning never fails to send a chill up my spine
this is when music peaked. rest in peace jhonn, your goodbye was glorious.
Holy shit! That was an absolute spot on performance! So sad they aren't around anymore😢
This is imbued with the same Spirit I feel when listening to Ian Curtis´s final recordings .

I'll be Always worshipping You. Forever and Ever. I am grateful. Gianmaria
Beautiful song. Inspired by the theme and words of "Are You Being Served".
Absolutely impeccable.
I was there that night and have no recollection of the singer towards the end of this video.

When you are literally looking death in the face...it just is.
Shivers!!
It was shocking to say the least when i found out that John died mere days after this show.
ready to go now
shivers
I've been waiting for this to come up almost forever. Such a sublime performance! Thank you for sharing.
Wow that's beyond I have imagined!
I find the word "prophetic" to be entirely over-used. Go up (and rest in peace) my brothers.
Wish they'd kept the higher-pitched synths in the studio version
They left PTV standing at the bus stop.
Even the video thumbnail is legendary
Are you ready to go now?
masterpiece
Love
this is the last song, of the last live, no?
Nikos Pappas last of the last
