Never saw him that disappointed before: he sounds worn out, as if his mind was elsewhere (or as if he was really exhausted). I think he didn't really understand the question about the rivalry with Alcaraz being the defining rivalry of his career: his answer seemed to elude the question. I think that his tennis in the 1st set was unbelievable and more than enough to beat Alcaraz. We'll see... in any case, if Alcaraz will end winning this tournament (as I wish for) from Monday they will be World N°1 and N° 2, respectively. Which means that from now on they will meet only in the finals .
@@antoinev9733 He did. Here's the stat: Sinner won 147 points and Alcaraz won 145. Of course as I said it's not just the number of points but the importance of some particular points that's key. One famous example of this is the 2019 Wimbledon final.
@@rticante i trust you ! just .. it don't mean nothing in tennis ;) and even there is not common point beetween the overall points gains and ... as you say, the few key points ( that smash in the 4th !!! ) ;)
These younger players need more dedication towards the game rather than ranks. Not even close to compare to the big 3 (2 are not playing anymore). Learn from them you guys will go a long way.
2:25 , a good chance for him to say something nice about Alcaraz, and he didn’t! Probably does not want to recognise Alcaraz is a far better player than himself.
Spoken like a biased Alcaraz fan. He was asked if this was the defining rivalry of his career and he answered the question. He didn't pretend the question was something else. Maybe go watch Alcaraz videos instead of Sinner ones if you want the conversation to be Alcaraz and only Alcaraz. 🙄
@@billiey36 Don’t be silly. What type of close minded kind of people does Sinner attract? I watch every interview of every and any player I want. No doubt my special interest for Alcaraz as the only player who brings real excitement to any match he plays. The level of arrogance Sinner displays is clear for anyone to notice. Now you go and wash your mum’s armpits, if you like.
@@billiey36 AND he went on a tangent, lol, comparing himself to the previous Kings of Tennis. Don’t be silly now. He is scared to acknowledge how far greater a player Alcaraz truly is, that’s the fact.
@@marnevoile3112 What's silly is coming to a Sinner video to discuss how much you adore Alcarax and expecting everybody else to join in. And you don't seem to have a clue what is going on in the interview, so quit trying to discuss it cause it makes you look foolish. You're not entitled to your own 'facts'. 😂
They are expected to answer questions shortly after the match is over. He either just removed the hat, or just got out of the shower. And I'm not sure he ever combs his hair anyway. 😂
The hair is hiding the forehead bc if you would’ve seen him without that his hairline is starting to recede. Which is totally normal but probably the reason why he styles is like this
Masterclass in how to take defeat without making any excuses. This guy is all class
He’s just very well PR trained he always says the same thing
@@sv-bd5em I feel sorry for you mate. Too bad others don't have access to the same training
No excuses. Just facts. Very professional, Jannik.
He's so mature, all the best with the Olympics.
A wonderful person and gréât placer. What class!
Whether you win or not, I am still proud of you, Sinner. Huge respect from Pakistan. May you go ahead
Bravo Jannik hai comunque combattuto fino la fine sei il numero 1 ❤❤❤

His tennis in the first set wasn’t unbelievable- Alcaraz is a slow starter with any player

Un giorno, vincerai in tornero !!!
A tough loss. But Alcaraz was the better player overall. Good luck in Wimbledon and the Olympic Games.
Sinner actually won more points in the match, but as he said Alcaraz won the most important ones. And Alcaraz was more solid physically.
