Nice. After playing for 40 years, I've come to realize it's quite important to know the "degree" of the scale you are playing because not all notes have the same importance. This box you are playing from low to high is flat 7, one, flat 3, and 4. In one example you bent up to the blue note (flat 5/ sharp 4). People often just memorize the shapes without learning the degrees. You usually want to resolve to the one so that is the most important note. Then when you change chords, all the numbers change relative to the current chord you are playing. I know you already know this Bob. And a lot of YT viewers don't want to dive into these gritty details. But it's the most important basis of really learning how to solo rather than memorizing riffs.

yes it`s very important to know the scale degrees but you can resolve to other notes as well like the 6th like jimmi does in redhouse

@@jeffdubuque3755 Absolutely. That's why I said "usually". I was just making the point that one needs to go beyond memorizing scale shapes. If you understand the scale degrees of every note you are playing relative to the underlying chord, then you really know your stuff. As you clearly know by stating that Jimi resolves to a sixth. Many memorize riffs and solos by rote but never analyze them.
