"Nico" is literally how you say "smiley" in Japanese. Also, the love hotel district is *not* the 'red light district'. It surrounds a lot of the heavy club areas in Shinjuku and Shibuya but it's not like it's full of sex workers and brothels. For that you need to go on over to Kabukicho. Red light district both figuratively and literally with its giant red-lit arches at the entrances.
