When European merchants first set foot on Indian soil, the colonization of the subcontinent couldn't be further from their imagination. In truth, it was a series of unique events which saw the East India Company conquer India. In this video we seek to explore the who, how, and why of the subcontinent's subjugation.

For the record, the "th" in "Maratha" is more of a hard "t" like in "thyme" (it's an aspirated t so think of the t and h as separate), and "Sikh" is typically pronounced like "Sick" by Punjabis

Great video although there are a few inaccuracies like 9:12 - Arthur Wellesley didn't lead the coalition, General George Harris did. Arthur was only a colonel during the siege of Seringapatam. Otherwise great. Would have been good to explore why the Mughal state had fractured so badly which allowed the British to pick India apart piece by piece (maybe a future video).
