      @fs4634 2 года назад +5

      Well, she does indeed already have some good times.. all sub 11 with 10.94, but that 6.96 is a huuge improvement, if you convert this to a 100m mulitplying by 1.547, you‘d have 10.76. it isn‘t accurate, but it shows the potential and i can definitely see her running somewhere between 10.75 and 10.80 if she can keep this form

      @@fs4634 And she can go even faster with her physical mechanics which resembles the way Flo-jo was/is structured. So I've suggested she seeks the help of Al Joyner who took one look at Flo-jo and said to her: ''Girl you need to relax more and stop using all your energy in creating speed. First of all we have to change the way you run; your leg kick and knee bounce and stride length''....and then bang! Flo-jo finally grasped what her previous coach Bob Kersee was telling her to do all along but she was always arguing with him and saying: ''How can I create speed and run faster if I relax in a Sprint Race''? Now the world saw what the increase in Core strength and relaxation did for Flo-jo's speed & times!

    • @kojoharrison630
      @kojoharrison630 2 года назад +1

      @@JaneDoane Well, that’s exactly what Flo-jo was arguing with her former coach about for years because before she improved she was so much more powerful and you could see in her running that she was using every muscle in her body to run faster and she couldn’t maintain her top-end speed……. As I explained the improvement in core strength and changing the mechanics of how she run (high knee pick-ups and better coordination of arms and knees) generated the speed without much effort (so Flo-jo made it look effortless thanks to Al Joyner!)…. Athletes tried the relaxation technique after Flo-jo like Merlene Ottey etc but their mechanics didn’t change that’s why even though they improved they still couldn’t touch Flo-Jo’s times except recently (Elaine Thompson)(Sha Carri Richardson has the correct mechanics and core strength so when she gets her act together, she’s one to watch!!!

      Donovan that is very true; you’re right 👍🏾, but I would say that if you compare the two women, Kambunji has better running mechanics (her knee lift and overall technic is better) but what is missing is extra core strength…..she has the same mechanics like Flo-jo so when she improves her core strength, her knees will come up and forwards and she will be running more relaxed while generating leg-speed an her times will be world-beating times (ShaCarri Richardson has those mechanics naturally and if she gets her act together, she will go even faster than Flo-jo)
      I like Fraser-Price a lot but I’ve always wanted to tell her to please develop high knee pick-up and with better core strength and she would have had the world record already!! God Bless 👍🏾

      Briana is not yet an established threat in the 60m. But her potential over the next 10 years (as it has taken Mujinga Kambundji,) to put in the training regimen and hard work necessary to compete at the elite level is clear.
      We shall be watching her career with great anticipation.
