      @@Karodrinker Well I guess I ended up doing the P3 11a traverse a bit higher than you now that I re-watched you doing, since doing it myself. Yours looked a bit more controlled than mine but I got the move clean! What a great climb. We only did the first 3 pitches the day we hiked in and ran out of daylight. We did Red Dihedral the following day but damn was it windy and not fun conditions! Can't wait to go back and get all of PV.

    Righteous!! Kalen, we've never met, but I did meet Mike many years ago at Friend's Camp in Shuteye and got to hang out one night and cooked him dinner. Super nice guy.

      @@Karodrinker Hey so how did you do with the altitude up there? Did you ever feel like you couldn't catch your breath after pulling some hard moves?

    • @Karodrinker
      @Karodrinker  3 года назад

      @@bullionsean456 definitely had altitude issues, but never to the point of nausea. exhaustion was a constant. I just could not stay asleep the night before after we hiked in and felt wrecked when I woke up before the alarm. The exposure and gravity of the endeavor soon became far stronger than the lack of sleep and luckily clawed my way up every pitch. I should have trained on cracks beforehand to make it more pleasant, but it was a last minute adventure and I was highly motivated to send it.

      @@Karodrinker I hear ya! I always find it hard to sleep the night before a big climb...or any climb tbh -- it sucks too bc you need that sleep. Headed out to CO to do pervertical sanctuary on the diamond and am a little nervous about the altitude. Sometimes I can get a little panicky after a hard pitch and feel like I can't catch my breath at the belay. The feeling always goes away after a minute or two but I've never been up past 10k feet or so.

      Only when I’m wearing the go pro camera, since it fits so well it doesn’t sag to one side from the camera weight.
