I was at Presque Isle Friday on a road trip. The place is a gem. I went hiking and swimming while also taking in the lighthouse tour.
That’s so awesome! 😎 Missing the lighthouse tour was a bummer for us-it looked so cool!
Where’d you end up staying?
@@MikeLizLife I was near Bradford, PA hiking in the Allegheny National Forest the day before I went to Presque Isle. I stayed in Bradford overnight and made the trip to Erie via mostly 1-86. The Lighthouse Tour was $7, but it was well worth it with the views and history. My family is from Western New York, but I’m from Florida. My uncle has a hunting cabin in the Southern Tier section of NY, so I did some hiking there as well before I went into PA. I’ve wanted to go to Presque Isle for a long time, but I’m glad I was able to go this time.
I also did some hikes in the Niagara Frontier region of NY. I go to Niagara Falls every time I’m up there.
That’s really awesome! We’ll have to keep the national forest in mind. Liz is also from NY-the central region near Rome; beautiful country. And I’m a Southern boy, though I’ve never lived in Florida. We sure love visiting, though! -Mike
Crazy as it may be, I’ve never stopped in at Niagara Falls. 😱 Passed by there on numerous occasions, but never stopped. Liz, of course, has been, but years ago. Perhaps it’s time for a refresher? -Mike
The state park is beautiful, but I agree - not as beautiful as Liz!
