Ark fans when the literal lightsabers, miniguns, energy bombs and railguns are somehow worse than some basic homemade rifle and bow
It's partly because of the theme of the game that it's primitive.
Blame the PVP community for complaining that Tek stuff was too strong before WildCard nerfed it into the ground

@pro_orphan785 people don't play ark for pvp, that's a very small community. The majority of people just chillen in pve. It's lame loser pvp players ruined the balance of the game when they are such a small portion of the community

I know you did not just rank the slingshot above the club. Yes the slingshot might have slightly more range, but the club ranks way higher imo because it doesn’t require ammunition and is easy to repair, you can repair it quickly on the go, and it scales with melee damage absurd degrees. Go get a mantis and put an ascendant club on it. It will change your life
He isn’t ranking creatures with the weapon he is ranking just the weapon. Nothing else

Boomerangs are still useful in later stages. You can trap a lv150 Rex/Yutyrannus and knock it out with 5 boomerangs, save you a ton of tranq arrows. Boomerangs break randomly but way less often than spears.
Don’t forget about time efficiency
9:44, actually compound bows can use tranqs and other arrows just not grapples or ziplines.
Yeah ,the only issue is it does more actually damage than torpor damage so using a CB for tranqing will most likely kill the target before its out

@@razgriz1ne1ne48 looked it up, both weapons do the same dmg per torpor, crossbows do more torpor per shot but compound bows shoot much faster. No difference in damage

I started playing again last month on my own private server, this list was very helpful! I played a lot throughout the years but didn't know about the net projectile. :D
If the lance is on the list then the whip should be there too

If you know anything about IRL handguns, the simple pistol should do more damage than the fabricated pistol.
Cruise missile is just cool. It's a way end game weapon just because it's fun to play with. As for the club I think it's super useful for what it is intended for. It has no purpose past getting tranq arrows. It's for getting you started. As soon as I drop in I go directly to unlock and make a club and knock a handful of small carnivores like Dilophasaurs out and tame them as guard dogs to watch my back, then an early game mount (or maybe just look for a Maschops). Then I throw the club away because you never need it again.
Me who used club as a last ditch effort to knockout a lv 145 direbear(it got knocked out)
I never used the fabricated pistol much in ASE, but I've gotten over 6000 advanced bullets from drops in ASA on The Island and 2000 on SE. A 298 fabricated pistol does decent damage and is fun.
298 Shotgun is the king, but I don't get much ammo from drops. So shotgun ammo I craft.
You can actually use the club with mantis, especially a high damage club with high damage mantis, it deals a ton of torpor so useful for KO creatures
OK for the club I think it should be higher as it is good at collecting organic polymer.
But then as a weapon it is pretty bad.
Use club on .antis you can knock out ewen a giga
An ASA Player's perspective.
-That Tek Grenade Launcher will be great for taming a Fasolasuchus!
-Even though we don't have nets here yet, the Harpoon Gun is still top tier on my list. I even use it to tame land and air creatures too. When you get used to its range(a bit heavier than an arrow) it feels just like a Crossbow to use but with higher torpor per shot than an equal % Longneck and you can retrieve Spear Bolts to swap to to use for defending or to turn back into a tranq.
A Former ASE Player's notes.
-An argument for the Minigun. I get a lot of 9s from the loot crates and barely ever use them except to lower the effectiveness on level 5s I wanna keep 0s on. The excess could easily be used for the Minigun.
-Tek Sword: Flying Stab is an extension of Tek Glove: Flying Punch, Without the gloves equipped, that ability is unavailable.
I keep forgetting most of the Tek Weapons even exist.
One thing I disagree with is the Crossbow coming before the Compound Bow.
If we leave the metal arrows out (because they are shit expensive anyway), I would always prefer the crossbow simply for the fact that you can use it underwater.
Also the chance of getting a crossbow of a higher tier is so much better than getting a good Compound bow. Like I get a non-primitive crossbow from almost any Alpha.
A better "all-rounder" which is the most useful for PVE in my opinion.
With that said, keep up the good videos!

The big hitter for the comp bow imo is the metal arrows, those things are great

@@roguered6243 No, it's because he made a rude comment. If you had said "For PvE the flamethrower isn't great, but for PvP it's top tier" that's a way different tone than what Marby said. It's not about being sensitive, it's about having common courtesy.
I appreciate how honest this channel is with Ark. Ark is clunky and flawed af, and isn't designed for PVE, and someone covering those flaws and genuine tips is refreshing

Pump-action is king for the majority of out-of-water applications since you can get good ones out of various drops and the ammo is a lot cheaper than element (if you're on a map where element isn't farmable). Also, Tek weapons can't be brought to a lot of the boss fights for some reason. I think that's really dumb, but bonus points for the shotgun there.

I think the reason the mammoth disappeared after you shot it with the rocket is because if a creature just spawns in, and it dies before a certain amount of time alive, (I think it's about 5 seconds) it won't have a death animation or corpse, and will just disappear.

the tech rail gun is special because it can shoot though wall rocks an terrain, unless they have change it, but the dmg have never really been good, but pump-action is the way to go for dmg compare to cost both in ammo an durability.
Though that ability to sholt through stuff is uselsss when not just the damage but also the range sucks ass. This is why I hate Ark's PVP community; they'll complain that something in the game is too strong in PVP, so that thing geta nerfed into the ground and we in the PVE community have to suffer for it cause we're forced to deal with those nerfs as well
