A great in depth review Tomasz, great detail and a very comprehensive assessment. I think your voice is far from annoying and I think it’s amazing how you do this channel in a second language. Please ignore the comment that got personal, there was no need at all for it.
Thanks mate👍 I don't mind, everyone has got a right to their opinion and I respect that. As long it's not abusive and harming to anyone. Putting yourself out there always brings the risks that someone may not like it - it's their problem tho 🤣
Hats off to you, lives and works in the UK, has his own house and workshop, speaks two languages fluently probably more coming from Europe and puts out good reviews. 55,000 subs +/- . Exactly the person I want to listen to. Ignore any trolls Tomasz, nice work . I've subscribed from Barcelona! My best mate over here is Polish , good bloke he is too Artur. Thanks Tomasz
@@CasualDIY good for you my polish friend moved here with his young kids about 6 year ago because of what was happening with politics back home. He’s very happy here as am I 24 years on!! . Enjoy life and keep up the good work.
Hi, I have the "Parkside" saw which I bought for £39:00 about a year ago. I also have problems getting the depth of cut right. I suspect that a lot of the budget saws are made and re-badged for sale. I have not got the ability to cut steel (I have an angle grinder and a chop cutter), but if I ever do I will buy the blade and use it that way.
Unfortunately they always have to cut corners at certain point of the design to get the price low. So far I like the Evolution tools as they do present good value for money. And maybe that's why with this tool in bit more disappointed as the base model of this saw without the track plate is brilliant. And somehow they didn't manage to improve with this one. Maybe the next model will be better.
Tomasz - your link is to the basic version - not to the + version. How do you find the depth setting - is the scale very accurate easy to use - some tracksaws have a pre-trim setting to reduce splintering/chipping on worktops - does this? Also are their any indents for 30/45 degrees and can it over saw at -1 or 46/47 degrees like some other models? Really appreciate your reviews.
If you are looking for an accurate plunge saw for countertops then this is not it. It's just a normal circular saw with a base that fits a track. And it's a shame really, hope Evolution will make a dedicated plunge saw. The depth stop is readable but hard to set up to super exact number. Basic angles 0-45 and anything inbetween. The tracks are very good tho 👍
Does this saw have a 20mm arbor bore? So none of my Diablo 5/8" bore 7-1/4" or other saw blades will work? Am I stuck only using Evolution saw blades ?
@@pbc1951 oh sorry just noticed you commented under the track saw, thought you were talking about the table saw blades. Not sure what is the bore hole on those blades for that saw I need to check
Nice useful unboxing. Might be a good saw and tracks are great but it's a saw that runs on a track not a plunge saw. Even the Aldi and Lidl versions have better dust collection than that one. The plunge part and the dust collection are the main reasons to get a track saw coz you can always run a circular saw against a homemade fence. They have missed the mark on this one.🤔
Yes that's what I think. They tried to do two things with one saw and didn't really work. The base model of the circular saw without the track plate is brilliant but clearly not really suitable for the track. They should have made a dedicated plunge saw, as the track is brilliant. Hopefully they can make one in the future.
i dont like the offset tracks the only dewalt tool i have is a tracksaw just because the track is centered and you dont need to swing it around all the time
I think you are wrong about the stated track compatability with Sheppach as their track size is slightly different. Most of the major manufacturers use this system but Sheppach/Aldi/Lidl is different and not compatible.
Please see the link below to an Amazon listening of this track, in the description it does state Sheppach. I can only go by what the manufacturer states. www.amazon.co.uk/Evolution-Power-Tools-ST2800-Circular/dp/B07HRDG2JG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=evolution+track&qid=1572608479&sprefix=evolution+tr&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFMWVZYTUg4VFhBS1QmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0MDY5ODgyM1cxNDlDQlJXNEc5JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1MDMwNzQyV0cxTUpOUzNJOUdXJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
They are all good, it's basically the normal circural saw they got which in my opinion is very good made with quality parts. But the track saw version is so much worse on the dust, it just sprayes it out from the front of the saw.
@@CasualDIY Thank you for your quick reply. Though, I meant something like the reduction as in the video 3:10-3:14 mins - but I'm happy with your review and your additional comment ;) ruclips.net/video/LhakZ-wBIfk/видео.html
Why do you need to leave 1-2mm between the tracks, I know the instructions say so, but if the tracks are machines square should it matter? That part of the instructions confused me.

Great unboxing and review video Thomas! Nice video again!
Thank you kindly my friend glad you liked it 👍
Very nice review. I've been looking at these for a while now! I'm still undecided on what to get but I feel more knowledgeable now! Thanks!

Great review as always thanks for sharing and your time and your honesty🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍👊

I run a Titan plunge saw on the 2.8 meter Evolution track it's great. If the Titan packs up probably go for the r185ccsx next.

The brand looks more impressive every time I see it 🍻👍
Its a very good budget brand. I really like the tools they make. The lates models they made are very good.
Good honest review. Thanks!
Thanks👍
Does this saw have a 20mm arbor bore? So none of my Diablo 5/8" bore 7-1/4" or other saw blades will work? Am I stuck only using Evolution saw blades ?
the bore hole is 24.5mm as far as I remember, just get a reducing ring and you can use any blade.
@@CasualDIY so where can I get a bushing to take a 5/8" hole in blade (16mm) to slide onto a 20mm or 24.5mm shaft?
@@pbc1951 oh sorry just noticed you commented under the track saw, thought you were talking about the table saw blades. Not sure what is the bore hole on those blades for that saw I need to check
Aldi tracksaw is a Scheppach PL 55 rebranded. In my opinion it's a decent option of a tracksaw.
Yes, I need to try out a dedicated track saw🤔
Excellent review , got a chance of getting a draper plunge saw free , do you know if this saw is compatible with the evo rails .
Not sure I would check on the Evolution main website to be sure
Hi mate have you changed the brushes on ur saw as mine has stopped working thanks
Hi, no had no need yet.
Tomasz gdzie najlepiej w UK kupowac mdf , i sklejki? Masz jakies sprawdzone sklepy z dobrymi cenami?
Niestety ja tylko kupowałem w Wickes i B&Q
Is the cut straight and true - no deviation due two rails being joined
Not found any issues yet 👍
Thanks

I think screwfix have mostly fazed out their titan brand in favour of erbauer.
I'm not sure but if that's the case this could be another budget option then.
Super big like

get your mask on for that MDF Tomasz
Good point
who cares about how the factory saw blade performs? what about built quality, plastics.... the most stressed parts?
