Cant blame them, satella appearing was only as punishment for subaru for saying he can return by death to echidna so many times where she had no influence over and she got jealous but the anime never made it obvious though some anime onlys did figure it out, majority didnt, though i did know this was plain emelia gone crazy this episode, it was not until i read the WN that i knew why satella appeared in the first place.

I could see this being the lust route as emilia and subaru run away if the great rabbit comes Ive not watch it in a while but subaru could offer emilia as a vessel for satella and they share a body thats just me but if you could redo the lust route what would you make it🤔

Think they realized that later, at least some of them. First time they see her it can be understandable to draw that conclusion, among others.
tbf i didn’t like that they gave her shadows in her eyes. i get its to show that shes crazy but its kinda confusing
