- Quoted from Olight's site: "COB is the abbreviation of chip-on-board. It is a high-efficiency integrated surface light source technology that directly attaches LED chips to a mirror metal substrate with high reflectivity. It is mainly used to solve the problems of low-power chips manufacturing high-power LEDs."

These seem to be all over the light companies right now. Are they viable for workshops? I have a single BIG emitter Coast work light.
I;m not an expert on them (yet) but it seems companies are using these for efficiency. The Olight Swivel Max Pro can put out 1000 lumens continuously for over 2 hours. They’re also great for even lighting because rage emitter is so large.
So, what’s the COB stand for?
Chips on board.
interesting video
Thanks for watching!
What is the color temp of that light?
Cool white, I didn’t measure, but I’m guessing ~6000K
What makes it different from a mule?
It’s optic-less like a mule, the difference is instead of multiple SMD emitters, a large amount of emitters are embedded in the COB substrate as one single large emitter.
@@cheule didn't really know that tbh, thanks for the additional knowledge
