    For anyone who has any of these airguns, this video and part 1 would be good ones to save in case you ever want to work on them. These were so clear and precise, they make it easy. Thank you Al.

    if you really like the way these shoot you need to convert one over to hpa with a 850psi regulated bottle you will fall in love with it all over again. ive got one with the buttstock reged to 1200 psi with a repeater breech i machined and i have feed squirrel to the family with it from 10 to 40 yds consistantly for 4 years now and i have a fx but this little fella is just so much darn fun so i use it its shooting 18 grain pellets right around 700fps and 15s right around 750 fps thats right at 20 ft lbs and works great for pigeon squirrel or rabbit with no issues if you put the pellet in the brain box where it belongs and its just as much fun shooting paper and cans or plastic bottles pumped up with air

    A dab of vaseline on the detent spring will help keep them in place.

    Transfer port o rings or 1/8 in poly tube also can help seal breach a p rod end cap for hammer spring adjuster and prod hammer for adjustable striker. 👍👌✌️💯

    • @AlsAirguns
      @AlsAirguns  3 года назад +4

      Yes, that's the same grip frame and adjustable trigger set up that Crosman uses on the 2300 series as well. It's actually the same grip frame with the brass adjustment pieces aded and a different spring. Something I forgot to mention about the upgrade I installed is that in addition to reducing the pull weight, it also limits over travel by blocking the sear. For an easy and inexpensive mod, I'm pretty impressed.

    Hello… good video… I have purchased a p-Rod grip frame to switch out with the factory grip… I installed it, but it doesn’t want to cock…. Is there some trick to assembly?

    • @AlsAirguns
      @AlsAirguns  2 года назад +5

      Make certain that you are using the appropriate breech screw location and associated hammer. Hammers designed to work with the rear position have a scallop cut out of the face to clear the breach screw. The 1701 hammer is a different style where this is not a concern.

    Great clips. I've just subscribed. I have a question though. Is the 2240XL trigger frame metal or plastic and if not do any of the 2240 or 2230 pistols have metal frames ?

    • @AlsAirguns
      @AlsAirguns  Год назад +3

      Yes 2240’s & 2300 series Crosmans use a metal grip frame which includes the trigger guard. The trigger on those pistols is metal as well.

    And that gripframe is definitely metallic ? It looks so much like plastic….

    • @AlsAirguns
      @AlsAirguns  Год назад +5

      Grip frame was historically metal. They changed the screw-down side plate on one side to plastic years ago but the frame is some soft “pot metal” which I’ve often sanded and refinished. So unless it just changed & I’ve missed it the 2240 and 2300 pistols have a metal frame.
