Season 6 is perhaps the most divisive for fans of the Buffyverse. You either love it, or hate it. I'm in the love camp. I think it's the show's best season.

It makes sense that Buffy with think this is hell. She woke up in her grave and had to clime out Can barely see or hear Her town was on fire Her town was being attacked by demons Saw herself get torn apart That sounds like hell.
The intro saying she has no intro is technically the intro. The freak out over Giles not being a series regular was just as great for reactions as her watching the actual episodes are.
That Blank Expression on Buffy Summer's face at the end of the episode is one of S.M.G.'s best performance's ever, one has no clue what that character is pondering or feeling and really encapsulates Buffy's Arc for the Sixth Season.
The loophole that made it possible for Buffy to be brought back by supernatural means is that she died by supernatural means. Jenny, however, died of a broken neck
Regarding your comment on the kiss in this episode and the new network: I once saw something somewhere on this website (might have been a con panel?) where someone said that at the time Buffy was airing, the new network (UPN) essentially had no one approving scripts for content; the writers got away with doing almost anything they wanted with virtually no oversight. Anyone recall who said that?
Re the Tara/Willow kiss: Seasons 1-5 were on The WB and that network censored things highly because their target demo was teens. But Seasons 6 & 7 were on UPN, an adult network that let them do whatever they wanted. So you might sense some suddenly heightened sex & violence. Haha.
this will come as a surprise to the people who were running upn at the time, who very much believed themselves to be in competition with wb. eventually the two networks merged to form the cw.

They did not have a team which routinely censored every show on the network, which the WB did. So the Buffy writers had free reign.
Now they have decided to resurrect Buffy as they just could not bear it without her, but we know this will not be straight forward and have lasting repercussions. When Buffy does emerge she is of course totally disorientated and confused. Even though the BuffyBot is torn to pieces it is still so traumatic for Dawn to see this. A great final scene back at The Tower with Dawn, there is of course a reason Buffy says 'is this hell'. Sets up a great, and very dark Season with some brilliant but disturbing episodes.
The Buffybot does help with Buffy coming back since she doesn't have to explain how she's not dead anymore. But it does make it worse for Dawn since she has to pretend everything is fine, She can't tell any of her friends (Outside the group) why she's so upset.
The times and expectations for an entertainment supernatural show were being set and Buffy was a trailblazer. No show before handled something so enriched in sci-fi fantasy lore and. Then made it “ realistic. One of the many strengths of the storytelling is how the events seem ordinary happening to relatable characters. All the while it is about Vampires, Demons, and witches being defeated by a teenage Valley Girl named Buffy. It sounds crazy, it’s unrealistic but somehow it works and is more in tune with how we feel than 90% of television shows
Xander's idea about trying again to find an Urn of Osiris was actually not a bad one. Just because Anya found one on EBay doesn't mean that another one doesn't exist. Of course, it wasn't necessary. The spell worked the first time.

I don’t want to say anything about future episodes but real world considerations were involved in him not being a series regular. Anthony Head had small children and he was missing them a lot and a lot of their childhood. So he needed to spend more time at home. But, he hasn’t killed off so that’s something else to consider…

Great mental breakdown. Willow really strayed into some powerful dark magic which will no doubt lead to all kinds of consequences.
