Thank you Peter for uploading these videos. Being a Skipton (and ex-Ermysted's) lad, it is nice to see these. I always remember Ken, your father, with his traction engine in the Skipton Gala. I bumped into him not many years ago in Stanforth's Pork Pie shop in Skipton. He was quite elderly by then, but still getting around. I recognised him immediately and told him I had bought his book on old Skipton and, bless him, he said I could pop round the house to get it signed. Of course I know the house (on Tarn Moor Crescent?) as it was on my paper round back in the early seventies. Good videos, tastefully presented. Keep up the good work.
You can turn it down if you wish? Always welcome suggestions but I do not have unlimited SFX loco sounds. Sorry to disappoint. The films are silent 16mm cine films.
I spent my boyhood in Skipton 1959 - 1967 and love watching any footage of the area from that era. TY.
