Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Tarbbatigan clean errors Tip (probably on Google)? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to fix electronic devices minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend after many years got amazing success with it.
Nice Video! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Tarbbatigan clean errors Tip (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off product for discovering how to fix electronic devices without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my GF got cool results with it.
This is one of the most useful videos I've ever seen on this topic. I would add that so many electronic repairs are of the PHYSICAL type. That is, something that physically broke from some sort of stress. Look for things that are stressed by movement or heat.
Great video content! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you ever tried - Tarbbatigan clean errors Tip (should be on google have a look)? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to fix electronic devices minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend finally got great success with it.
Yes your eyes , ears , smell, and touch can tell a lot of info when doing repair work ....... You do great video's and people even experienced people love watching your video's , even me LOL...... I know you have a regular job and such , SOOOOOO when are you going to put out some more content on repairs ???
That is a good question. Hopfully soon. Last year was a mess and work has been consuming most of my time. Plus with the pandemic I am a bit paranoid of meeting and touching other people's electronic equipment.
@@The_Active_Region I do agree on that situation , I do take precautions when opening parts , even from Digikey , if it's from a local person such as home audio or a CB I do break out the spray.....I do buy the 99% iso by the pint for a few bux , my local pharmacy has it in stock and if they run low they call me and advise to come in get some in case they would have delay on the next order.....Cheaper than Ralph Electronics over in Lafayette Louisiana and a hour drive one way, but I only go there if I need certain NOS parts......My salesman is knowledgeable on older parts.... I'll keep an eye out for future vids.... Thanks for the quick reply Mon Ami....
The one thing I learnt from The Signal Path is don't just change out visually burnt parts and plug it in and expect it to work. Always check the pads for shorts when the part is out because there might be something down the line that is blown.
i agree totatlly about asking the customer what the symptoms were, reminds me of going to the doctors and he asks you whats wrong by the time youve finished you have diagonised yourself (similiar)

I made the wrong assumption by chasing a bad cap for five years, the intermittent perfect looking component was a tny 277 IC - Google search of sites like yours helped me hone in on the problem , this IC causes failure in washing machines , repairs on RUclips show that.
@J los Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard about - Tarbbatigan clean errors Tip (do a search on google)? Thanks for all your videos, I have a ? For you, have you ever worked on Onkyo receiver with the HDMI switching issue? I believe the one model is an Sr-605
Hate to ask yet another question, but I am in need of advice. I have a Rockford Fosgate t500.2 with a channel that well just isn't right. I have tested everything I can test with a dmm. Everything checks. I tested that sides fets caps gate resistors. I checked the opamp drivers. I even went as far as changing the gain pot on that side. I don't have a scope so kinda at a loss. Checked with and without signal and powered and unpowered
Could be many different things. I don't have any service information on that amp. You can try swapping parts from one channel to the other if you don't have any test scope gear but that can be time consuming and not very efficient. Could be bad fets pre dive transistors noble resistors bad solder joints the list can go on and on. Without a scope and a known signal input I cant tell you much of what is going on with the output.
Oh I'm aware of those pesky temperature related issues, I had a TV to repair which did that. It was bad electrolytic, which tested fine ESR-wise, but went funky as it heated up.

Try changing all the SMD caps on the HDMI board, or specifically C6809, C8002, C8602, C8096 and C8162. It might take care of the issue.
thanks I will try that..

Static ,whining, heavy distortion
