Just blow off the debris with compressed air before you remove the oil fill cap. You should disconnect the negative terminal from the battery anytime you work on the engine. good video. It didn,t start because you are suppose to turn the key to the on position before you crank. You do this to pressurize the fuel system (fuel pump should run then stop).
Did it actually throw a code for the problem? I'm having an issue with the first start after it sits overnight like it doesn't wanna start but once I get going it runs fine. I just replaced the ignition coil and the only other thing I've noticed is it's idling a bit higher than normal in park and the chk engine light is still on? What issues caused you to determine that was the problem?
Where you having any engine trouble that you changed that? A friend of mine has the same car and his engine doesn't rev up when he steps on the gas, it's a pain to drive. He isn't get any check engine light though.
I had that same problem. A mechanic left the mass air flow sensor unplugged. It's on the air intake between the throttle body and air filter box. I would assume it's unplugged or the sensor is bad. You can also find videos on how to clean that sensor. I would recommend watching the videos because it is possible to damage the sensor.
That's what mine is doing. Seem like the cat is clogged or something. If I mash it, it loads up and torque pro says it's stuck in an open loop and I'm getting fuel trim codes.
I have this same engine on a 2006 KIa Sportage, and the idle has suddenly began searching between 500 and 1000, back and forth. I am leaning toward changing this ICV like you did, but there is a small chance it could be the throttle position sensor too I guess. What were your symptoms?
It was running rough at idle and would almost die. It was also having a hard time accelerating from a stop. I can't remember if I had an error code or not, but if I did, I would have shown it in the video. I didn't 2 things and that was changing this valve and cleaned the throttle body. Made them into separate videos so if you're having this problem, maybe try cleaning the throttle body first, and you can watch my video on how to do that. I have a playlist of all my videos for this vehicle if it's hard to find. If that doesn't work, then it might be the valve.
hi, I have a 2005 Hyaundai Sante fe 3.5 L and the car jumps when you come to a stop is this why you changed this or could you help me on why it's doing it?
Before you changed that part did your jeep cut off sometime when running & also idel up when in park and running....when it cut off you have to try a crank it up about 5 or 6 time before it starts back up...I have the same exact jeep you worked on model & every thing & that's the problem it's having...it only do it sometimes
Could be a lot of things. Check engine light on? I had the same problem because the mass air flow sensor was unplugged. Should be between engine and air filter.

@@derekcarson7976 have you figured out that problem? I'm having same issues too and could use all the help possible..
@@derekcarson7976 thank you for any information you could share

Yikes. I have no clue. Maybe an injector?

Did your issue resolve? Mine just started doing this.
2005 sonata I had that problem I change out the throttle position sensor the wire were deteriorated.
why did you change the IAC what test was preformed that it was at fault?

@@becausestuffbreaks So do it sound like to you that it's the same problem you had.....
Sounds similar
@@darrellpatterson8955 mine is doing same thing. What did you do to fix yours?
mine stalls when idle. what will be the

I have to put the camera more closer so people can see hello
Hello
I might remove then spray and return first. If that does not work I will replace.
Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!
I think most of us we didn't see what part u cleaned..you removed something. Didn't show.what it was..
Sorry for the far shot at low quality. It is an older video. I'm doing far better quality videos now
