  • So why do so many people stay and live in Hawaii, even if it’s hard to make ends meet? Of course, the reasons vary from person to person, but I thought I’d share my reason for living and staying in Hawaii. And it really comes down to one reason: family. And I think this is an important conversation to have because as costs continue to rise, many locals will seriously be considering leaving for the mainland. And even for me, the thought of moving to Vegas, Oregon, Washington, or Colorado creeps in my mind every now and then. Despite how expensive life is in Hawaii, many locals continue to stay, including me and my family. It’s tough, but we’re doing okay and we haven’t yet reached that point where we’re pushed to the edge.
So I wanted to share this conversation that I sometimes have with myself in hopes that my thoughts and reasoning are somewhat relatable. Please let me know in the comments.
