That's by far the clearest presentation of the Ortur Master 2 I have yet seen. Mine is on the way so it gives me time to prepare. You include a lot of useful information. Many thanks.
Absolute smash out of the park review and demo. Otur should be paying you. I'd talked myself out of getting this but you answered every preliminary question I had. Now I actually see the NEED for this in my project and it's an entirely different perspective. My budget battles are between 3D printer resin supplies or getting additional hardware. I think I'm sold. This is an investment.
Wow, I think this is the most complete and comprehensive review/explanation I've found online, which is of great value for a beginner like me. Thanks so much for that!
The amount of work dedicated to make this video.. that isn't just a review of the ortur laser cutter, but basically a complete guide on how to use one, and a really good aditionally. Thanks for your work, really clean presentation!
The thoroughness of this presentation is impressive. I ordered the "20watt" version based on a first viewing. I appreciate your clarification of input versus cutting power, as well as a live demo of what can be accomplished with this unit. The Ortur is preferable to the similarly priced Chinese K 40 CO2 lasers IMHO because the K 40s, while more powerful, the build quality and included components seem spotty at best, and the the setup is more difficult. Many CO2 lasers tout pass through capability, a feature that would obviously be easy to implement. The easy customization of an extrusion based frame makes it easy to implement changes to expand capabilities. If this proof of concept laser works for me, I will likely order a larger more capable FullSpectrum machine, while retaining this surprising capable machine. Thank you!
I just bought an Ortur 15W Master Laser 2 and your video helped me so so much to get it up and running. The best hint was that I have to hold the shift-key when I want to turn on the laser while running along the frame. Many thanks!!

I ordered mine and decided to look up some videos for a leg up and im so freaking excited. I just got mine for wood but knowing it works so well on other materials like mirrors is opening up so many new ideas for me. Great video and very thorough.

I've been watching your videos for a while now, and have been consistently impressed! You are doing a great job, your production quality is excellent, and you've been a phenomenal help in my journey back into cnc and laser technology. Thank you for everything you do, and keep up the phenomenal work!!!
This video has to be the most informative video on the whole youtube. No bullshit intros and gibberish. Everything from assembly to usage and control. Awesome video. Subbed.
This has been a great and thorough review. Thank you. I'm suppose to be starting a new job with this laser so this is very helpful before I actually use it.
Got this same laser as a birthday gift from my in-laws. Quite excited to start working with it, and ever grateful for such kind in-laws :-P. In the meantime, great to see these sort of reviews on the RUclipss. (commenting for the Al-Gore-ithm)
Actually found after another brand (lower priced) model popped up in ads. But by far this is the clearest and easiest to understand. The other one could not find any info or videos. So that made me search deeper. The best product representation I've seen. But shipping time could be improved. Standing by /saving for order.
Clearly you didn't actually watch the video where I explained the difference between input power and optical output power. I find that with stupid people they react without thinking or researching, they act like a dog, see something, react to something, except you can train dogs. Here boy have a dog biscuit and fuck off.
Great video. While searching for tips for a new woodworker, I fell down the rabbit hole in a CNC path which led me to 3D printer that led me to laser printers - I enjoyed every minute of this journey - but you led me out of the hole with your well presented, detailed, presentation and I am ready to jump into the laser medium. I am a retired old man with too much time on my hands and I can't wait to add a laser to my toys. Thank you.
I was considering a FS Muse system, but I wanted to begin to understand the technology before taking the plunge. When i saw this system a while back I thought it's a toy that could not cut more than paper, and so I stayed away. Buying a K40 type laser did not appeal to me although there is a great deal of information on dealing with that type of systems shortcomings. I'm a design engineer, so the upgrade process didn't scare me from the technical point of view, but I did not want to take on another project of that type at this time. When I found this video, I bought my OLM2 based on this presentation, especially when i learned that it had the capabilities you have shown. Since then, I have been inspired to take the journey, following the learning paths that you linked to. Thank you.
You should take these comments and use them in your resume for this company. I bet you could easily get hired by them as the new video/PR guy. Sold I’m ordering one next month because of this review.
Excellent video...enjoyed every second of it, from start to end. Very informative and the latter part of the video opened my eyes to new or potential projects that I could use a machine to execute. Thanks again for spending so much time to give your audience a wonderful, well edited video presentation. Excellent job!
One of the best, if not the best video I have seen on this machine. All useful & relevant information. You should give lessons on making these type of videos. There would be so much more useful videos out there then, instead of a lot of the garbage there is now. Keep up the good work.
This is a great laser, ive done a lot of projects with it. Only thing is that the laser lost significant power and no amount of focusing would work. I upgraded the laser to a 30w and its back at perfect. I recommend using lightburn with it.
Excellent video demonstration and tutorial. Thank you, as you are the first person I actually understood, becuase you didn't miss a step while others assume too much. Your a genious. Thank you
Plan to make a business like this. but it drives me crazy about the software. Specially that im not an IT a lot of progmam to changed specially the stuff to used for the machine. Looking forward my self to absorb all the information you’ve shared man thank you 🙏
Thank you so much for the great video. I muddled through 5 or so USELESS videos before finally finding what I needed and more in this video. Concise and thorough, excellent video!
Superb video! Mine arrived today, and i don't think I'd have assembled it as quickly as i did with just the official user manual. Mine appears to be a slightly later version, and there are a couple of new bits not covered in this video, but they are not covered in the manual either. I'm saving this video as a go to reference guide.
This is a very professional video. I just got my master laser 2 and can't wait to start working with it. Mostly I will be using it on wood engravings for my bowls, so hopefully the 20w laser will have a fine enough tip for my needs. Thank you for taking the time to create this video.
I have to agree with the previous comments, great review and use, and for people setting up this laser very good detail on the settings. Just subscribed to your channel. Cheers.
I want to use this to put images on wallets and maybe some wooden objects. I've also thought about dog tags. This video made me very excited to order this same model. I need to move things in my work space to allow for ventilation. Maybe build a cheap table so I have an expendable work space. Edit: When you did the mirror I nearly shat. Then you just kept going! I am ordering this asap
I have seen other presitaions on this unit, and yours is the best and most complete. But i do have a question for you and that is how hard is this to operate with no computer knowledge?

The only think I am lacking Is the air system, but I am not even able to cut 1/16, I cannot figure out the settings and the wood gets very bad before it cuts like all black. Can you give me the settings you are using and if the air system is something I will need for make this work???

Great Review, do you know how it would stack up against engraving something that is not flat? like a 3d heart made of clay or non glazed (matt) white ceramic? thanks
Thank you so much for making this super thorough and informative video about the device! You've covered all the common surface materials in the video very well, but do you have any experience using a laser engraver for creating circuit boards (perhaps combined with an appropriate acid)?
Yes, I have. Just spray the board with black paint and then burn off the tracks, it works well enough. I think I did one in the latest ortur pro video.
That was a very informative video. Thanks for that, because I have been wondering whether I should get one. Curious of your recommendation between this and the Sculpfun S10.

I don’t think review videos can get much better than this. Thank you so much!
