They should’ve stopped at endgame

For my Mum and sister that dissapointing movie was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. The original story is about a bunch of kids with bizarre superpowers under the care of an equally bizarre woman named Miss Pereguine (imagine X-Men crossed with Mary Poppins). Apparently the book and movie are nothing alike. The movie is darker, more violent and mixes around everyones powers, changes personal storylines and nixes the story's biggest problems to get to a resolution easier. Tim Burton also got his directorial thumbs deep in it, so if you remember his Alice in Wonderland movie then you can probably imagine what its aesthetics looked like and what had to be sacrificed in exchange.
Damn I really liked the book and was always sad I never got to see the movie, I'd already be pissed if all they did was switch the powers but with everything else it seems like I'm better off not watching it lol
I knew from the first trailer it was gonna disappoint gorr the god butcher is my favorite Thor storyline and the moment I saw the wacky road-trip romcom vibe I knew it wasn’t gonna be what I wanted
Mortal Engines, I and a Friend was excited to see it in theaters because of the world and how the mechanics work for the cities but when it was over we barely remembered the characters names and only described them by their outfits XD
This why I tell people never get excited for a marvel because most likely they will catfish you, also now you either get a crappy marvel that a bit accurate or a crappy accurate movie like eternals was accurate but it was crappy because reason is they don’t know how to mix accuracy with with decent movie plot.

1 Million Way To Die in The West would be my answer. The ads hyped me up but the film didn’t satisfy my love of comedy or westerns in theatres and this week my coworkers kept trying to get me to watch it based on those same ads.
A Quiet Place 2 unquestionably. A top 5 favorite movie of all time for me and I was simultaneously worried and excited that the second would ruin everything. The second wasn't awful, but it completely removed what made the first unique and now nobody talks about the first A Quiet Place
The exact same movie came to mind. So much wasted potential it’s actually insane.
The worst part was that Gorr was the best part of this movie, and he was in it for like 15 minutes at best

Just recently for me, the movie Elemental. I was so looking forward to seeing it (don’t worry I’m not gonna spoil it), but was so disappointed with it!!!!! It felt like the story was being rushed, and didn’t have time to fully bring out the story that the director really wanted to do. There were some things that I did like about it, but I was mainly disappointed with the movie 😓

The most annoying fact that they never even mentioned Knull and his connection to the symbiotes or the fact that the Necroblades true master is Knull and that it was made from the first ever symbiote created by him, it's so frustrating that they basically where like oh Gorr is the worst of the worst while something waaaay more evile sits right behind him
I think they sort of referenced the three thors where Jane represented old thor, normal represented present Thor, and the other lady (forgot her name) could be future. The past present and future thing doesn't work too well, but they do have three lightning god weapons so idk there's at least some connection
Shyamalan's The Last Airbender. My family and I obsessed over the series for years. When we found out there would be a movie? We were so hyped. When it came out? We were all so disappointed on the ride home that none of us really knew what to say other than making fun of how they changed shit.
