I actually dont mind the OG Head Sculpt on her though. Its simple but good enough and seeing customizers rip it apart for accuracy kinda hurts abit but hey I wont deny it does look so much better though :)

Tbh I kinda like the og head, Idk I think it's that the newer one looks a bit elongated to match with the shaping of the og figure. And it looks weird in my opinion. The longer shape does not work imo with a jurassic park T rex head. I will say tho from a front on perspective it looks way better than the original.
I agree literally the Mattel head was pretty much perfect and the only things that need the replacement parts are the feet and eyes and maybe the teeth if it’s that much of an issue with some people. The re sculpted head just looks off to me and that’s funny considering how marco likes to nitpick on accuracy which gets exhausting after awhile because they don’t ever seem satisfied.

@@eroticforeheads912 Kudos to those who want to do this, but all I did was cut the toes in half, added my own claws, sharpen the teeth (as you would like sharpening a pencil, but with an xacto knife) and paint the eyes. You’ll lose the ‘glass eye’ look, but it’ll be decent. How much spent? Maybe $25 for a tiny jar of epoxy puddy, acrylic paint to paint the teeth, and a xacto knife 😅. Also the head/face pegs are SUPER EASY to break when taking apart, and may or may not seat back in when put back together. I know this only because I had completely taken apart one of these to turn into a foo-dog.
@@trikeonabike4949 And the thing is we're also getting a reissue of the rex this year and I wouldn't be surprised if mattel listened and it came with improvements to the sculpt so a lot of these replacement parts and fixing could end up redundant for most people unless you want and have the money to spend on custom prints that may or may not be better.

Somthing that makes me happy is the Hammond Baby Trex's feet are actually really well done
The rings around the eyes look funky but other than that nice

Cool, but the OG sculpt is pretty good already. A Buck head sculpt would be a perfect reason to make a replacement for the HC rex. Sorry, but was a missed opportunity
I'm hoping at some point they do that because I don't have high hopes of Mattel ever releasing a buck. If they do I'd be psyched though.

How do you keep the paint from scratching because it didn't look like he use mod dodge
Did you use a heat gun to remove everything? Im considering that method since I failed using boiling water several times so I'd like to know if using a heat gun is efficient.

I want a hard plastic tail with the same posable joints.
Personally I like the original one. Even though it isn’t accurate I think it’s a pretty decent sculpt, however the movie accurate one looks a lot better

This ugrade is absolutely stunning, and way more than the Mattel orginal, though I love this figure in its own
The ugrades easily make it prefect 👌, btw this video was absolutely amazing

Mattel really needs to hire Marco Makes or Rod's Random Work to improve their figures, then we'd no longer have to replace ugly big feet or oversized ugly teeth.

There are some replacement feet by Marco, but they aren’t articulated.
