I loved the tune you played. I'm in 8th grade and I'd like to start playing a clarinet. Could you make a videoon how to figure out what tye to buy. I want a colored one but everyone says they only come in plastic, but the plasitc ones don't have that " deep" feeling when you play. How will I know???
@Quiaura1 You are correct when you say that the colored ones only come in plastic. You should definitely NOT get the colored clarinets. They are pieces of sh*t. And also, they won't let you play in the band with a colored clarinet. I would recommend that you find a Buffet B10, Buffet B12, or if you want to go a little more expensive, a Buffet E11. You probably won't, but do NOT get a Buffet R13. It is a professional clarinet that is very hard to play for beginners. Good Luck!!!
Actually a lot of place will let you play in a band with a colored instrument. I play a bright blue clarinet and 1st chair in our Clarinet section. It only matters about your playing quality not your instrument color.
reeds are very expensive. I've had success with the ATG reed finishing system and I've been able to make 3 reeds playable in less than 10 minutes with it. That saves some money.
Thanks good tips 👍👍👍

Yamaha's are more durable. Buffet prodige keys bend like a Medini

Wow well that's interesting. My band director won't let me do it haha

Life's too short too mess with reeds at all. The ones that give me trouble go straight in the trash!

Laughs in legere reed
O
life is too short to do this incorrectly....always use a dry reed if you are using this method with sand paper, not wet!
CSMedia Have you heard of the Reed Well?
A lot of background noises.
It sounded better before you sanded it.
Life's too short to watch You Tube videos with terrible camera work.
