@@gmpperformance Yes, but as soon as you leave the throttle, the valve closes, halving the sound !!! Personally I find MUCH more beautiful (even aesthetically) the original sound in dynamic rather than those round tubes of the remus !!
The stock performance exhaust sounds better in Dynamic than this video suggests. This was likely filmed immediately after startup where the stock exhaust is programmed to have the valves shut even in dynamic mode. Once the car warms up a bit, the valves will stay open in dynamic and you will get a deeper tone and some noticeable pops and crackles.
Man I really miss the rs4/rs5 N/A V8... these new v6's sound like struggling lawn mowers... the RS5 V8 fitted with an upgraded exhaust can be heard from 10km's away
Are you referring to a "sport mode," if that makes the exhaust sound louder, or are you asking if there is a valved system that comes with the Remus setup?
you're fine :) thats what we are here for. The Remus system comes with integrated valves so yes it does change when you put it in sport mode. There also is another valved option where you have to open and close it with a key-chain button, regardless of if you are in sport mode, race mode, etc..

well when you see the power it puts out and actually drive the car its quite enjoyable. the car looks good performs well and maybe does not sound as great as a V8, but honestly nothing sounds as good as a V8.
Still sounds like shit, a stock rs5 V8 will always sound better ... these new v6 engines you cant even hear them even if they were beside you with 450hp...
I think the stock tips look fkin ace. I don't get why you'd replace them. Those ovals are mint.
You didn't even have the stock exhaust set to dynamic 😂😂😂
i believe we did you can see the valve open at 4k rmp

It's so crazy how much better the b8.5s were compared to the b9, engine wise of course
There are fans of each generation.

the v8s were fantastic! an old rs5 with 4,2l and normal exhaust sounded so good!
Well it's still slow....all show and no go. The V8 had no torque for how heavy the B8.5 RS5 was.
Does it have an unequal length midpipe ? It sounds more like a transversal V6 than the other exhausts
Awesome car . I love the wagon wheel effect you get with those rims. What type of rims are those? !
Those are the factory wheels
Sounds better stock.
Much improved!
Does aftermarket exhaust work with the different drive modes of the car in regards to the sound? I can't wait to get my RS5!
Are you referring to a "sport mode," if that makes the exhaust sound louder, or are you asking if there is a valved system that comes with the Remus setup?
gmpperformance I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff. Lol. I guess I'm asking both. Well is there a valve system with the Remus exhaust?

gmpperformance I'll keep that in mind if I decide to go aftermarket exhaust. Thanks!

There are 2 exhaust setups from remus for this car, which one is this (ec approved or the other one)?
Song?

At least you can map the stupid farting sound out
just waiting for a tune from APR
Yes a decent mapping company can do it.
If you're referring to 'fart' on upshift, then no remap can remove that. It's done mechanically, not done by the ECU.

Doesn't sound bad, and love the pops and crackles just not a fan of how long that DSG fart is, needs to be a quick crack and thats it
Agreed
They have no DSG? It's a converter automatic and it switches super fast on the S and RS5.
sounds like an oldschool v6
Here in the uk we get the avant. 4 pipes not cool looks like an s4
Shaun Frost Rs5 doesn’t come in avant unless you mean the rs4
