Queen did opera and now Opera trying Queen😉. Having an original recording instead of a phone capture would hv been better. Great strong voice, but hv to note that Freddie can get very tender as well as powerful. The entire range of emotions can come through musically with flair, in his singing and performance.
Jeepergirl everyone prefers Freddie but people are doing these covers out of love for his music and they are not trying to get a better version out there. They all all aware it will never work anyway

Она не оперная певица, да с консерваторией, но она рокерша в первую очередь. И никто не пытается превзойти Фредди, просто великая для рока вокалистка отдает должное королю рока. По моему это очень трогательно.

Lilith Aerith My point is this song is a masterpiece from Queen with amazing and haunting vocals from Freddie. The performance and the arrangement here felt disjointed and over stylized which killed for me. Whether Tarja is a Classical singer, Opera or Choir trained I don't know but it has been stated that her voice is too trained or operatic for metal and that is my feeling also here. I have no doubt Tarja is a highly revered talent. However... for me in no way did this cover capture the depths of the soul and spirit of Queens 1976 release.
