I always need to take a good look whenever i encounter one of these. Really nice design, pretty nice lines, love the large front and all in all it looks pretty nimble and lightweight. Cool cool bike..! 👍👍👍

I've had 3 SVs. -99 650, -06 650 and -04 1000. And I gotta say this newer model of the 650 is my favorite. So agile and powerful little bike.

I had a 2006 SV 650 with the welded flat frame and fuel injection. Great bike. Mine needed stiffer front springs and braided brake lines, put some motocross bars on it so I could sit up. Larger rear sprocket and a GSXR rear shock. Lowering kit, Buele front light, Micron exhaust with Power Commander ECU and re-map with K&N filter and air-box mod. Lovely induction howl with just the right back-fire. Fabulous bike. Suzuki hit a home run with these.
Have an 07' S model with aftermarket lower faring's. Couldn't have asked for a better first motorcycle. Bike will be with me for years to come (on year 3).
I've never seen a video that captures the torque of this bike so well.
I just bought one from my buddy for 3K as my first bike, it’s a red sf. The bike is really nice. I rode his CBR 600RR that’s for sure my next bike.
I have a 2002 SV 650s. It looks like this one has aftermarket rear tail section, turn signals and license plate bracket. You road up and down a nice straight street but, this bike shines in twisty roads and is easy to ride. Seating position is a little to race bike like for my tastes but, is a blast on the curvy roads around my area of Pennsylvania.

I miss mine so much. I had to sell it to afford a move to another city. I was sad to find out that the guy who bought it from me absolutely ruined it just 6 months after I sold it to him. Beautiful bike, but he spray painted it and used it as a stunt bike, so it was also beat the hell.

@@beans_236lol I’m thinking of getting this as my 2nd bike. I have currently a 2009 Ninja 250. So I’m sure for a beginner this is plenty of power. I have 3yrs on my ninja 250.
@@sndoverkillyt3585 This is going to be my first bike other than my grom, although its a big step for a 100lb lady but I believe with some standard handlebars it should do me nicely.

I had the exact bike in silver (full fairing) great little ride. Cheap and fun. Only problem I had was ECU failure which I had to replace

Only thing I dont like about the SV is the oil starvation that can happen when you ride long distances with the front wheel in the air.

...after almost 20 yrs off the bike ,...after 20+ years of riding weekly commuting etc, before that...
I just bought one of these, an '09 in grey from a friend who's as anal as I am about stuff, so this thing still looks nearly showroom fresh.
I'd never ridden one, heard alot, pretty much all good,..after two rides, I couldn't find a reason NOT to buy it lol.
I was looking at all kinds of other used options in the 3-6k range 750's 800's from VTR superhawks, to FZ's to Speed Triples to VFR's but after I realized I don't really need 750cc - 1k + power, and weight.. this thing ticks all the boxes and was a deal @ 2k

-enjoyed first class care and feeding the last 13yrs, it is in excellent condition
-never been down
-all maint. service prof. handled, & up to date
-1 mature owner
-fairly light, very nimble, excellent handling.
-plenty fast enough to kill me.
What more could you ask for.
I rode the shit outta a heavily modded custom Vf 500 Interceptor for over 18 years, this bike reminds me SOO much of how my sweet 500 handled...SO DAMN GOOD, it just wants to dive into the corners and rail them all.
Super jacked to be back on a bike again, I forgot how awesome riding is and how much I missed it!
Poor tyres never been leaned over properly 2 inch of fresh rubber on them edges 😞😁

I'm confused can someone straight me out because I thought the sv650 didn't have front fairings how come some of these have front fairings
It came in 3 diffrent formats from the factory:
SV650S - Full fairings (like this one)
SV650 - Half fairings (side fairing missing)
SV650N - Naked (No fairings)
@@Haxcha hey buddy, looks like you know your stuff! Help me out if you can please. I am looking for a FULL faired version with ABS. Do you know the years Suzuki made that version of the bike ? 🙏

The full faired version with ABS was produced from 2007 to late 2010 and is techinally called "SV650SA" and its quite rare.
However, most people only list them as "SV650" or "SV650S" so its important that you look for the ABS logo on the front wheel fairing just like the one in this video.

This motor hates whellie, one cylinder then has poor lubrication which eventually causes problems.

I am seriously considering getting one even if I have to restore it. Currently have an 18' Ninja 650 and 23' CBR 650..so I would have the personalities of 4 cyl, the parallel twin and V-twin. 🦾
