It uses the hypothetical face-off as an excuse to study and educate us about both dinosaurs' nature and biomechanics, instead of using the paleodocumentary format as an excuse for a mindless, over-dramatized gore-fest of a fight, and unlike it and Animal Face-Off, it actually takes a more realistic approach and doesn't pretend like it needs to crown a definitive champion by the end, like if two species squared off one would inherently have to be the superior species and inevitably come out on top, instead it acknowledges that the two animals could very well be evenly-match and the outcome of any individual fight would a case-by-case scenario. And unlike Jurassic Fight Club, they have the fights fit in line with the specific fossils they are based on instead of completing contradicting themselves later on.

Meat Dragon i think it would happen most of the time. If it were a fight and the triceratops didnt charge like a fool how does t rex get around the horns. The real t rex probably took a horn to the back of the throat when it chomped of it's horn.

*+SeanTheGreat708 T.rex being much larger and more muscular would have much more force than Triceratops, T.rex could break their 2 horns as well as could grab their horn and leave it in lateral position to bite their neck.*
*+Jesse Gamboa No, Trice was slow, less intelligent, and even smaller, his horns could be broken by T.rexes, probably the one who would win would be Rex.*
A lion is 1/4 to 1/3 the size of a bull but the T-Rex is larger/heavier than his prey, the Triceratops. Do tell, how is that anywhere similar to a lion vs. bull scenario?
Jim Garrison actually triceratops was heavier than t.rex by quite a bit the average t.rex was about 7 tons the average triceratops was 10 and the largest t.rex was about 9 tons and the largest triceratops was about 12 tons so yeah there goes your argument down the drain.
The reason why in pop culture and other things has Tyrannosaurus winning, because there are more people who like tyrannosaurus more than triceratops. Although that is just a theory I made. Also if you are fossil hunting for tyrannosaurus then you would most likely find more skeletons of tyrannosaurus than triceratops. This means that there were lots of tyrannosaurus, and the tyrannosaurus died a lot from triceratops, ankylosaurus, other tyrannosaurus, illness, old age, or malnutrition. This also means that triceratops at least I think won most of the time.
Old comment, but wanted to comment on it. You're probably right about the pop culture stardom of _T. rex_ and that being an influence in how we think the animal would've compared to others (i.e., destroyed every other creature that stood in its path), but insofar as fossil hunting for _T. rex_ goes, we've only found about 30 specimens, whereas we've got hundreds of individual _Triceratops_ specimens.
the fact that something as fucked up as a triceratops evolved shows that t-rex was indeed a badass predator.

2:35 triceratops: what have I done
2:40 This scene always makes me sad.
Holy shit the triceratops actually killed the T-Rex 🦖!!! Dam!!!
Props to the camera man for being so stealthy
That cameraman must be really old
Still waiting for the moment where the triceratops places a hoof on the T-Rex and lets out a triumphal roar
Who watching in 2024?
Me, and I’m the 3 like.
Triceratops was more savage than T. Rex. Like damn!
it all depends on who sees who first. If T-Rex can approach unseen and attack from the rear, game over. If, as in the video, Triceratops can see T-Rex in time to turn and face it head-on, the story ends differently.
yeah
Triceratops is my favourite, but I have to admit feeling sorry for the T-Rex.
My favorite and underestimated dinosaur finally wins for the first time. I'm so happy😭
Not alone c:
A fully grown healthy male triceratops could easily take down a t rex. In fact, triceratops was the highest mortality factor of T-rex's deaths
Trex has a bite force of 12,800 pounds. The fight would’ve been done in seconds if the Rex headed for the neck.
@@menace4678 this depends.
@@menace4678 bite force can vary between 6.000 pounds to 13.000 pounds
2:56. “Well, I guess this asshole isn’t gonna cough my horn up.”
triceratops was made to win and it needed and should to.
because t-rex is the triceratops's main predator so the trike had to win and defend itself......................you go triceratops :)
Leave t-rex alone, bish.
excuse me but if you like t-rex more just say so i do not hate t-rex its my favorite theropod.
so good day to you sir.
Okay..
Im happy u understand.
I don't give 3 shits if triceratops is better, T-rex suffered so I feel sad for him. I love T-rex more than any dinosaur. I don't care what happens to triceratops... Sooo..... make that clear now. Bye Byes.
OMG!!! I REMEMBER THIS DOCUMENTARY, I WATCHED IT WHEN I WAS LITTLE!! What is it called again??
Who was the King. By BBC. theres also who killed who, which is about velociraptors
When you were little !! Now I feel old 😂
The Truth About Killer Dinosaurs
@@unknownuser5193 thanks, I used to religiously watch dinosaur documentaries when I was like 7-8 years old.
Triceratops wasn’t just food for Trex, they were a legitimate threat to them, a threat that could potentially be life ending.
T-rex, "I'm a mutha-fAAAAAHHHH!"
Thumbs up if Robert bakker is a better paleontologist than jack horner.
Hell yeah!
***** There's no way that could've been possible. Spikes don't shrink when something like Stygimoloch grows. It would just grow along with the animal.
Horner's theory about Triceratops and Torosaurus being the same animal is also ridiculous.
kylgrv I like u
+kylgrv I'm not surprised, because most of Horner's theories are a load of bs…
+kylgrv I also agree with you when you say that Horner's theory about Trike(Triceratops) being a young Toro is ridiculous, because it's common knowledge that Trikes are bigger than Toros!
Saddest CGI T-Rex death
The T Rex would make the ability to kill much easier if it had just one buddy. The trike can’t face 2 directions at once.
Why does every documentary with a Trike Vs Rex battle always have the rex breaking a horn in half?
First dinosaur video ive ever seen when the herbivore finally won. I dont understand why people always make rex win when one stab from Triceratops' horns would be instant death.
Exactly, well said. The t rex had no armour so why so many people believe it would have been impervious to four foot long horns is beyond me.
Yeah and most herbs we’re faster or had armor or stuff like horns spike tails they make the herbivores die in one bite but The carnivores always seem to be invincible
It’s stupid
the t-rex would have definitely been the winner of that fight
Dude nerf triceratops he's OP.
Patch plss make t-rex little bit stronger.
nature doesnt take request
Revon Legion 😂👍
You can not just make something stronger Revon or are you mad that T. rex lost
Commando 11 you don't get the joke -_-
When some bullies walking around the neighbourhood and he pulls up to your doorstep but you’re not about to take that shit
Of course a triceratops would win every once in a while.
Meat Dragon i think it would happen most of the time. If it were a fight and the triceratops didnt charge like a fool how does t rex get around the horns. The real t rex probably took a horn to the back of the throat when it chomped of it's horn.
Meat Dragon well you cant sey that I meen it can winn your write but it isn't fast anaph to charg the t rex
Marilyn Giss again it doesn't need to charge. its like fighting a bear with a spear if he charges his weight would impale himself. unless there is another rex to sneak around it. the tric has more distance and an expendable shield
Are you dumb if a t rex bit the triceratops the triceratops would have died because of the time rex bite force
+Aaryan Joshi Depends on where Sexy Rexy bites the Triceratops...
Title:2 T-Rex vs Triceratops
Video:1 T-Rex vs Triceratops
the only way a T Rex can kill Triceratops is to attack it without it noticing
true
*+SeanTheGreat708 Only way? T.rex has a powerful and sturdier skull than the steel with its monstrous jaws of more than 1 meter and with curved and serrated teeth of 30 cm with its bite power of 6 tons of pressure, capable of tearing the flesh and grinding bones.*
*T-rex was more agile, intelligent, resistant and also had a better view, so he would attack first (anyway).*
*+SeanTheGreat708 T.rex being much larger and more muscular would have much more force than Triceratops, T.rex could break their 2 horns as well as could grab their horn and leave it in lateral position to bite their neck.*
still you have to admit a triceratops would most likely win.
*+Jesse Gamboa No, Trice was slow, less intelligent, and even smaller, his horns could be broken by T.rexes, probably the one who would win would be Rex.*
2:22 who heard that? Lmao 😂😆😁!
Everyone
For a second I thought it was my ear buds

Go Triceratops!!
Very nice video! Now if I were the triceratops personally, I'd finish off the T. rex when it laid down and stab its throat out.
This seems legit, as this would be a equal match with either one of them winning.
Triceratops won 9 out of 10 fights with the Tyrant king.
Awesome vid. Both those guys are my favorite dinosaurs! 8D
its like a lion vs a bull. face to face the bull kills the "king"
A lion is 1/4 to 1/3 the size of a bull but the T-Rex is larger/heavier than his prey, the Triceratops. Do tell, how is that anywhere similar to a lion vs. bull scenario?
Horns
devin Espinoza xDDDD
Jim Garrison actually triceratops was heavier than t.rex by quite a bit the average t.rex was about 7 tons the average triceratops was 10 and the largest t.rex was about 9 tons and the largest triceratops was about 12 tons so yeah there goes your argument down the drain.
Jim Garrison you clearly don't know how muscular and large a lion is, it is not just 1/4 or 1/3 the size of a bull. Its actually almost the same size
I don't require big details, but Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex lived in different chalk.
Both are Prehistoric warriors
I like both of these dinosaurs I could see either one winning
idk but i kinda felt sorry for the trex i dont why its just a computer remake
mark true spurs fan same and I'm a baby triceratops
Poor T. rex 😥😭😭😭😭😭😨😰😭
2:36 this is the first time ever i was feels sad for a carnival (T-Rex) death...😢
+Poppy Raima yeah but there is triceratops horridus.
What about it?
+Poppy Raima it's the biggest species of triceratops
I'm not understanding your point.
It’s cool how triceratops won for once
True. Nice to see some change for the better. I'm not saying T-Rex would never win but I like to see a Triceratops win in a fair fight.
i like spinosuars
Lol
Sandoval750 I bet he would've liked you 😂😂😂
Sandoval750 like a protoceratops :D it can be a pet.
Sandoval750 were talking about the T-Rex not a spinosaus
Spinosuars? Spinosaus?
No offense, but didn't Triceratops live in herds and at least have quills?
